Donaire KO5 Darchinyan
At this point is has to be that picture perfect left hook counter by Donaire. I'd say that Ledesma KO5 Stark is right there too, but Darchinyan was a higher profile victim.
Here's Ledesma/Stark:
Here's Donaire/Darchinyan:
Both were brutal one punch knockouts.
EDIT: Here's Wilson/Nwodo:
How come nobody is talking about the knockout that occured on the manfredo undercard that was on wednesdays night fights the guy went throught the ropes i forgot that two guys name if i remember good it was in the cruiserweight division
tough..but i think i might have to give it to donaire seeing as everyone had there money on darchiniyan and donaire pulled it off..and that was just a perfect counter left hook..god damn
Agreed...as far as combining the ko along with the significance of the fight, my vote goes to Donaire-Darchinyan. This was a title fight and Donaire had to be a pretty big underdog going in. Wilson-N'Wodo would rank second because of the viciousness of the ko and for 2 top contenders in the division facing off.
The reason I picked the Ding-a-ling man is because of the way that Nwodo crumbled to the canvas. It might not have been a one-punch shot like Darchinyan, or a great set up like against Ledesma, but just the way that control left his Nwodo's body is just more of a KO, IMHO, than the other two.
Stark was out the same way Nwodo was. Wouldn't you say that it's more impressive knocking someone out cold who is in the right mind to fight than someone who is already hurt badly and is in survival mode?
All three KOs were amazing, so I think all three would be deserving of the "honor". The only thing that makes GS/AL and ND/VD KOs a little more special are the situations.
I think people like to see the bigger guys get knocked out too. If Brewster knocked Klitschko out the same way that Ledesma knocked out Stark, or Donaire knocked out Vic, it'd be no contest.

I like Tessitoire's call on it too.
"OHHHH...A LEFT HOOK LIKE YOU WILL NOT BELIEVE!"
Yeah that made it even better. I love it when Joe goes crazy.
I like Bernsteins comment as well right when that hook landed he said "OH MY".
Yeah the Nwodo/Wilson fight was just stupid though, lol.
Both guys looked like they took an entire list of rophies.

I have to go with Wilson's KO over Nwodo. I mean the sound alone is brutal enough and Nwodo was out cold. Really one of the more vicious shot's i've ever seen.
Donaire's was definitely good no doubt and he's was probably more significant, but Wilson's was so brutal I thought Nwodo might be dead.
You saw it in the Ledesma/Stark fight. Stark was out cold...his body just crumbled to the mat.
Yeah but when Wilson hit the guy it looked as if he was a Annie doll and someone had it 5 feet off the ground and just dropped it.
The Wilson fight was the best. How many times do you see someones legs collapse under them.

I will go with Donaire KO Darchinyan, it so beautifully counter right on the shot. But Wilson is more devasting Nwdow was hurt and was running to survive he was going to be KOed. damn both fighters are tired as hell and the legs buckling up what as well as the sound made people say it a KO of the year.
IMO its not the devast effect but it how done so that is why i choose Donaire, last year was DeLeon :D
That left hook Evander landed on Savarese late in the fight was feroce. Can't believe Lou got up, one of the best knockdowns all year, maybe the best. Donnaire's knockout of Darchinyan was brutal.
