I still stand by what I said... But people need to realize that Lacy tore his left rotator cuff in the second round of his last fight. Not only is it an extremely painful injury, but it took away his biggest weapon.

Lacy is by no means finished, he suffered a tough loss and thats it he still has great potential, and if he fights Tarver he will lay Tarver out.

Jeff Lacy is not neccesarily finished. He might even get a title again. But he will never be able to control a division, though. The first smart challenger that comes along will beat him, since Lacy never has a plan B. When he's figured out he doesn't seem to have the ability to change his game. He would still be able to get some good wins due to his power.

Completely overrated. I cap alot of fights and heard alot about him. Well after 6 rounds I stopped the recording and I never do that cuz a fighter can change. I just knew then and still now...overrated.

Its not that Tsypko gave him a beating, its that he tore his rotator cuff in the second round. That coupled with the Calzaghe beating worries me. And Im not sure he was as good as some of us (me included) thought he was. He might be able to come back and pick up a paper title against Mundine or somebody, but hes not beating the top guys in the division. mundine would school lacy imho.

I think if he comes back and wins a few fights by ko and is impresive then he may be able to make a challenge for a title. I just hope the fight against calzaghe does not scar him mentally.

Jeff Lacy is a powerful fighter who has been unfairly underrated since his loss to an all time great, Joe Calzaghe. He's fully capable of winning a title at sm or lh. I know, one loss to a top champ, and he's " overrated " " overhyped " " a bum " Crap like that only comes from the Calzaghe haters, whose brains are up their asses.

lacy looked bad against that russian (?) he fought last. he looked old, took a ton of hard shots and was pretty beat up in the end. thats 2 consecutive fights he took hard beatings. he could be done as a top contender
