Tarver vs Lacy : who would be victorious?

Lacy don't have the power or the skills to KO Tarver, I pick Tarver to win by late stoppage. Lacy dont have the power? Did you see b-hop knock tarver down? Imagine what lacy would do if he connected as flush. Tarver aint got no where near enough power to hurt lacy, lacy took over 1000 punchs by calzaghe what makes you think tarver would knock him out?

Interesting fight - Two out of form fighters, both with serious question marks over their future in the sport. I really don't know who to pick. I think Lacy has the potential to destroy Tarver, but after the injury and the embarassment against Calzaghe will he be as destructive, or will he get dispirited early? As for Tarver, has he got any desire left to train hard and take it to a guy who will be coming forward and can take a punch and give it back?

I think Lacy by KO, Tarver couldnt handle B-hops power when B-hop started sitting on his punches, imagine what a flush left hook from Lacy would do..

I dont think much of either of these guys. Both kinda a joke if you ask me.. Both were just overhyped and exposed... But Ill say tarver becaise of height and reach fighting smart... but id laugh if he got KO'd

tarver is almost a granpa.....and i can't stand him, in my eyes he wouldn't be able to keep up with today's youth

Tarver is such a hard fighter to predict against. The man barely does enough to win fights but has the skills to win them thoroughly. He has stamina issues... He is, in my mind at least, a much better fighter than Lacy. I predicted Tarver KO but he could run out of gas and get KOed himself. I would have put Tarver points but hes bigger than Lacy and has some pop so Im thinking he will put him out. I wouldnt be surprised if lacys bigger than tarver. Height wise tarvers taller but i heard when he's not fighting lacy walks around at 200 pounds plus, so lacy will be the physically bigger man.

Traver would out box the heck out of lacy...winning by UD I believe..

and you forgot that Tarver too has a better olypic resuma than Lacy No I didn't forget it, my point is that Lacy in recent years has been regarded as a banger which is true, however that style has left him limited as shown by Calzaghe. With the injury and layoff I feel it would be better for him to look at honing the skills he undoubtedly has and therefore becoming a better all round fighter albeit less exciting. Tarver to an extent already has this to his game!

If Lacy offered Tarver a fight, the same thing is likely to happen. Tarver is grossly overrated and he knows it. All of the bravado and self promotion doesn't change a thing. who s priced out Tarver?

with the news of lacy getting back in to the training after recovering from his shoulder injury and tarver seeking to fight the dude at light heavyweight, who do you guys think would win , if a fight happened between the two? would lacy's ring rust be a factor? or would tarver just be no match for lacy's power? Personally id go with a lacy win via an early knockout. Despite ring rust i think lacy has alot to make up for after his poor performance in his last fight (even though he did have the injury stoping his left hook). I think lacy wants to return with a bang to shake up the boxing world again and he would just have too much for tarver. Lacy by ko if he's similar to the lacy he was before the calzaghe fight. I think Lacy should have a tune up fight before this as his ring rust may be a factor as well as him needing to get his confidence back.

Tarver last performance was his usal style of putting his right hand forward. I dont know but i tihnk Tarver is going to suprise people on how he is going to hanld Lacy and he has the power to back of Lacy. Tarver is alway comes back stronge as for Lacy he didnt experince a good comeback

I'm not sure Lacy will ever come back to be anything like he was, the injury was a bad one and the defeat to Calzaghe has to have taken its toll on his confidence. Fighters like Lacy rely on fear, most of his opponents feared him before they fought because of his power, the Calzaghe defeat will have put not only doubt in Lacy's mind but in the mind of future opponents. Tie that in with the injury and pit him against a talented fighter in Tarver and there can be only one winner for me. I hope I am wrong as fighters like Lacy are much needed in the sport.
