Pryor was sloppy, he had bad balance, he struggled with guys who shouldn't have even shared the same ring with him (before he ultimately stopped them). The young upstart D-Town fighter Johnson floored him and gave him a rough go of it before Pryor overwhelmed him. I'm sure guys that were MUCH better than that would have beaten him. Pacman and Pryor have the same aggressive style...ask any boxing expert when pacman first came on the scene he was being compared to him...but pacman actually is living to his potential while pryor was potential lost. pryor beat alexis arguello 2 times and pacman beat morales 2 times...both beat supposed aging legends. good post... Although, I think Pryor would have beaten a younger Alexis. Where as a younger Morales would have eaten Pac raw. I just looked @ Arguello's record...yo...he started in the 60's. He was one tough little mother fanker, it would've not been easy to beat Pryor in his prime, maybe Floyd! Maybe Floyd? Have you actually seen Pryor fight? He would beat Floyd unmercifully. The he would have mugged him for his share of the purse.

Watching that and all I could say is PACQUIAO its so eerie how pacman is the reincarnate of Pryor, dude it creeped me out how they fight exactly the same and are super aggressive and keep coming forward. Dude no way in hell could Pac come anywhere near Pryor. Pryor was prime at jrWW, Pac wouldn't be able to hurt him and would be demolished.

Whitaker was a beast but its hard to see the Hawk not being able capitalize on Sweet Pea's style. Now, Pryor.Duran would have been FOTY...easy.

pryor had everything you could possibly want in a fighter i cannot think of anyone at that weight who could beat him.

I think Duran or Whittaker would've had excellent chances at defeating him. He is a beast but so where Duran and Whittaker in there primes.

They both took a lot of punishment and since neither of them was the same Pryor beating him earlier in the rematch means a lot because he wasnt doped up the that time. if someone took something to enhance his preformance and it not part of the sport commiction then he should be punished. anyway if Pryor lost UD to Arguello his career path would have changed

Sure. Neither fighter was the same after the beatings they put on each other that day. The fact that the second fight ended as it did doesn't change the facts of the first fight. That Pryor was doped in the first fight with Arguello is pretty well documented and a quick google of their names will indicate as much.
