Whenever this topic comes up, people bring up very close fights and non-robberies like DLH-Whitaker, PBF-Castillo I, DLH-Mosley II, Hatton-Collazo, etc...Wright-Soliman????
Watch fights like these. These are real robberies.
M. Spinks-Holmes 2
Escalera-Everett
Holyfield-Lewis 1
Nelson-Fenech 1
Sven ottke - Robin reid, you have to see it to believe it, blatant fight fixing.
Wow tech i actually agree with you that was the fight i thought of first was a shocker the ref was almost cautioning reid for punching
Too many of you are naming fights that could have gone either way. Up until last year, the biggest robbery I had witnessed was Lewis winning 9 rounds against Holyfield and getting a DRAW. Whitaker probably won 9 rounds against Chavez and also got a draw, so that's equally bad. That's bad, but can you imagine winning 9 rounds and getting a LOSS? That's Ben Rabah vs. Juan Urango. I don't like either guy and had no stock in the fight, so I'm completely objective about it, and that was a travesty. I had Oscar winning 8 rounds against Trinidad and that was a majority decision. But Urango lost 9-10 rounds and got a UNANIMOUS decision, I'm pretty sure. What a joke!!!
Forrest-Quartey was close
Sturm-DLH was close
DLH-Whitaker was close
DLH-Quartey was close
Mayweather-Castillo I was close
You can't call these fights robberies when the winner (whoever you thought it was) didn't win more than 7 rounds clearly.
I'm sure I remember him getting warned.. or even points deducted for fighting back in that one.
Yeah he got warned for apparentl kidney shots. But they were perfectly legal bodyshots IMO. He might have had points deducted but cant remember. The ref would also not warn Ottke when he would hang on to Reid and not let go when he was in a spot of bother, and instead turn the blame onto Reid. I remember Richie Woodhall was commentating and was about to jump into the ring himself and knock the ref out, complete farce that fight.
I echo the thoughts of many others...Reid vs Ottke. Reid wins about 11 out of the 12 rounds (maybe all 12 actually) and the judges still give Ottke a comfortable points win. My advice...never fight in Germany.

Jeff Lacy vs. Vitali Tsypko
"Black Ottke" got another boxing lesson, this time in his hometown, but somehow the American judges managed to give him the win.
ottke-reid... the most ridiculous
pea-jcc... so bad for boxing: in such a big fight. (kinda like oscar-tito in terms of impact, but 10x worse in terms of scoring)
Ike v Dlh ODLH clearly lost that one!!!
Vargas v Winky Even though he is my fav i thought winky shouldve won!!! But we will take!!!
Winky v Soliman Winky got beat down and his face told the story of the fights outcome!!!
SSM v Forrest 2 i thought shane done a good job making him miss then getting inside an tagging him!!!
DLH v SSM 2 even though it was close dlh shouldve got the nod!!!
We do this thread every month. Look up any of the past ones.
It's Juan Urango vs. Ben Rabah. Ben Rabah won 9 rounds at least, probably 10, and lost the fight. Nothing comes close to that for me. Lewis won 9 against Holyfield and got a draw, not a loss.
There simply cannot have been a bigger robbery than Reid - Ottke. That shit gives me the upmost respect for anyone who dares fight in Germany against a home town favourite.
They should choose the judges the same day of the fight and keep them in seperate areas with a big ass security dude right beside them lol..
Hmmmmm pretty good idea actually. hehehe.............
