Anyone know the latest on Danny?
In his last fight, he was a very impressive 228lb. He also scored an excellent volley of punches to register an impressive knockout and he iterated his desire to get into the ring again so it seems peculiar that he's been quiet for the past few months.
Here is a video I found of Danny, from 2001, he looked VERY VERY impressive here it has to be said.

Here is Danny's last fight, good knockout.

Also worth noting that out of the 6 people that have beaten Danny, Danny has beaten 4 of them previously (Julius Francis, Michael Sprott, Audley Harrison and Matt Skelton). I think Danny would beat Samuel Sam if they fought again too.
Damn, Danny is the only British HW that is remotely interesting in my eyes.
Audley has been a flop, Sprott isn't that talented and ditto Skelton.
At least Danny keeps people interested
Does anyone know if Danny is going to be on the Amir Khan card this coming Saturday? It would be nice to see Danny in the ring again.
If he was going to be the card, I expect to see him up on boxrec, which I don't...
Yeah mate to me that goes with out saying, I was just using Wlad as the yard stick cos Williams has fought him and shown hes not at that level.
You mean Vitali?
Wladimir has been KO'd by Brewster. The same Brewster struggled against Kali Meehan. The same Kali Meehan was splattered by Danny Williams in 32 seconds of the first round.
I think if Danny caught Wladimir he could probably pull off a knockout or a TKO. One thing that Danny does have is power.
holyfield bowe and lewis were all good and would beat wlad and vitali

Yeah, Actually i would give Vitali a good chance at holyfield to be honest. Vitali has a good chin and can dish it out too.
Danny is a nice guy, but Vitali would have beaten him on any given night, your right, danny was never in that class.
Alphabet belt? Yes.
Klitschko Level? No.
was not a great era, prime tyson was the last great Heavy Weight for me.
Yeah mate same way I think of the Hws,Tyson was the last great. Thats the point I'm making that no out theres anything special but Williams isnt in Wlads league and never will be.
To be fair, few are actually on Klitschko's (either brother actually) level. There was Lewis and maybe that is about it.

Aye mate youve hit the nail bang on the head there.
He showed heart against Wlad but hes not in that league IMO. He could win a "world title" belt though.

his biggest enemy is himself..his mental state..
if he had the right mental state, he'd had been the champ a long time ago.
He was certainly more than capable. He was a naturally good fighter, physically anyway. He also had good handspeed, timing, skills and most importantly excellent power (one punch KO power).
I wouldnt describe his fight against Gammer as impressive , he was very slow to start and remember gammer is a very poor fighter
Apologies, I meant the knockout/finish was very good. Danny later said that he didn't feel very good during the fight (nerves, apprehension etc) and wanted to see how the fight made him feel (mentally) before deciding to continue on.
warrens made so many fuckin title shot promises ive lost count.
He has guaranteed the winner of sprott or skelton a title shot, but i dont think either are ranked highly but the Alphabet belts.
