when taylor fights pavlik, taylor will no longer be undefeated. i dont expect ricky to stay undefeated much longer. his terrible eating habbits that balloon him up to 180lbs and then he has to go back down to 140, thats going to erode his reflexes and hurt his skills (yes, he has skills). just like what happend to riddick bowe.

Taylor has fought a lot of guys that make him look bad (Winky, B-Hop, Spinks) and that's why no one gives him credit. I think after the Pavlik fight, we'll finally see how good he really is. He's still green and winning off talent and a great jab. You forget about the Ouma fight, which was a smaller guy who comes forward and Taylor still couldn't knock him out, or even really hurt him. However, I agree with you that Taylor will beat Pavlik in a great action fight.

I went with Kessler because if he fight calzaghe next i cant see him winning that one. Taylor will have to beat pavlik clearly or he will get screwed imo, especially with all the close decisons he has had.

No one has been more anti-Taylor than me, but I think the style Pavlik brings to the table will bring out the best in Jermain and he will win that fight. I love JLC, but I think he's lost more than a bit off his fastball and Hatton will beat him via somewhat controversial decision. So I guess I have to go with Pavlik since none of the other guys are fighting before that. A good question would be whose 0 will be the last to go? Mayweather should be omitted, since he is "retired" and if he fights again it won't be until 2008 at the earliest. I think I would go with Juan Diaz since it doesn't look like a Pacquiao fight is in the offing for him.

mgkirkpatrick...:nonono: Taylor is an HBO created fraud.. His Exposure is nigh.. Welter, I agree, but read mg's post. Taylor is not a great matchup for Pavlik. I think Taylor will win some rounds and punish Pavlik a bit, but Taylor's defense ois not so tight that he'll be able to hide that suspect chin. Maybe a late round KO for Pavlik, but Taylor could eek a decision.
