I couldn't agree with you more Gringo. Exposed to me means a fighter climbing all through the ranks with media hype etc. Then gets his ass handed to him during a tough fight. ....Yep, great thread Gringo and I completely agree. The word is overused and incorrectly used for sure.

Examples of exposed fighters: 37-0 Marty Jakubowski being beaten senseless by JC Chavez. Jakubowski lost to every decent fighter he faced...while sporting a gaudy 100+ win record. Lets get it together now people. Nooooo Gringoooooo! Marty is from a town 15 minutes from me and I've seen him at the gyms around the area. Can't we pick someone else to be exposed? Haha. But your right, while Marty was a consumate pro, he didn't have the physical tools to break into the world-class level.

does Allen Green fall into the "exposed" list? im not sure cuz Miranda really isnt a good fighter. he's the middleweight version of a Mayorga basically. and he still somehow beat Green easily

they sure as fuck wouldn't get swept out in 4...i'll tell you that. they were fucking horrible against the cavs though. raweed is off to new york and chauney is in "anywhere but detroit" mode right now... the team will not contend for a while.... if they get rid of these guys they are going to be a lottery team.

Some of you don't seem to understand what this fucking word means. That's just a complete misuse of the word. Hatton and Cotto have both beaten other world class fighters, have won titles in several weight classes, and have proven that they can fight on a high level. when i hear exposed i quickly see michael grant.....people use this word too much especially when tito, miranda, and corrales lost fights oh man were they exposed for whatever reason....they went out and lost....exposed fighters dont beat other top notch fighters.....

I agree.....another example could be Damgaard.....he was exposed by Gatti,he was like 38-0 going into that fight.
