I translated hopefully its not too hard to understand hehe,
Undefeated Juan Diaz expects to unify his world title with Julio Diaz, IBF lightweight world champion next august after his fight with Katsidis has been left for a better occasion.
Diaz of 23 years of age, let us know this information during the awards ceremony to the best of international boxing by the Association of Boxing Writers in the United States which was conducted June 8th in New York.
The WBA world Champion acquired a very important triumph in his career after he left KO specialist, Acelino "Popo" Freitas sitting his stool.
"Freitas is a great fighter. I felt his power in the first rounds, but my shots to the body allowed me to sap his power and take the victory," said the fighter from Huitzuco Guerrero.
Diaz Victoria, who studies a lawyer career in Houston, is a Mexican and American citizen.
His triumph over Freitas has allowed his promoter, Don King, think about a few important fights for Diaz like matching him with Filipino Manny Pacquiao, and Erik Morales (If he beats David Diaz), and British Ricky Hatton.
- Do you have the formula to beat Manny Pacquiao?
"Erik Morales proved that you can beat Pacquiao by applying pressure... in fact, If Pacquiao wants ill go down to super featherweight to fight him," he said.
- How about a fight with Erik Morales?
"It would be great and very possible because I believe he will beat David Diaz"
In the same manner, Juan indicated that he would like to prove himself against the super lightweights and trade shots with Hatton.
"I can stay in lightweight, go down to super featherweight, or go up to super lightweight," he said.
To finalize, Juan expressed that even though he accomplished his dream of becoming a world champion he wants to leave his name in the history books of boxing and thats why he wants to fight the best.
"I hope my fight with Julio Diaz gets done so I can have all three of the four world titles at lightweight and then unify with the winner of Erik Morales and David Diaz," he sustained.
Before leaving, Juan Diaz, WBA and WBO world champion said he wishes to fight in Mexico City so that the people can get to know him and so that the people of the Yucatan can forget his fight in Merida 7 years ago in what was his professional boxing debut.
Baby Bull has very nice combination and and very consistant throughout a 12 round fight. BUT...he doesnt have the power w/c is necessary to get PAC's respect.
PAC will trade and land and the ending will be similar like the others. I think Cassamayor and JMM have better chances than Juan.
I really hope it happens next year.
I think the same Diaz will stay in the fight and may even land alot of shots but he is not a heavy hitter and against Pac his style will be his downfall. Pac will land huge shots over and over and over until Diaz is either koed or tkoed. I respect Diaz but his straight forward style against a faster and much heavier handed Pacman will be a nightmare. Peace out
Maybe so but beating all those great names is a very very tall order for someone like juan. Another thing is that after figting those guys juan will surely 20 years older and he will become a very very old young fighter.
Oh man, I hope this happens. He could easily make 130. I think Juan would win all of the big fights that could happen for him at this moment (Pacquiao, Guzman, Casamayor, Hatton) but all would be amazing!

Thanks for the translation bro ultimate. What can I say? Juan is a great fighter and he deserves a great fight. If he wants to fight pac at 130 then the better but I think he still has a business to take care of at 135. Hey what's your thought if this fight happens?
PACMAN , CASAMAYOR or GUZMAN which one would make a more exciting fight for Diaz
i think they will all be exciting fights ...
1. BabyBull vs Pac (@130 this will be one of the best fights ever)
2. BabyBull vs Guzman (non-stop flurries from both sides)
3. BabyBull vs Casamayor (@135 the most likely guy to defeat Juan)
line them up baby... lots of dream matches for pacs. hopefully pacs will be in tip top shape. seriously theses guys are the real deal and fight fans around the world are going to have fun, one mistake and your out. now wheres the deal, bring it on. time is gold T_T.
Diaz didnt duck casamayor. Casamayor turned down a fight with Juan, he turned down 500k. Anyways HBO didnt want to televise that fight. Now Casamayor will be fighting soon for only maybe 10 k
of course. because your username says it all.

its scary to think that during the time pac was still evolving from being your so-called onedimensional to being a more skilled fighter now, he has been knocking down boxing greats along the way. so i believe a prime 100% pac is almost unstoppable right now at his weight class. and only jmm and probably diaz are the fighters i think that will give pac a run for his money but they will eventually end up losing or getting ktfo.
Then he's getting ko'd or beaten to a pulp if he doesn't have what it takes to quit. He's not an elite fighter, he fights too riculous not to be beaten and gets hit way too often. Those bruises on his face didn't just magically appear, Freitas did that to his face, he needs to improve his defense.
All this said by a man who thinks Ricky Hatton is a elite boxer. Tell what is really the difference between the two of them?

...u shud fall in line to fight PAC, the true champ!
I like to see this fight, Baby Bull is no quitter, his endurance is impressive and better to watch than Floyd M.-the clown(I hope he will not change his mind on retiring...). Diaz needs this kind of fight to be known as a great boxer, his win against Popo-the quitter doesn't have a big impact on his career. Who the hell is Popo, anyway...he shud fight the one that will show the money. And Money is Manny...lol
Can anyone tell me, if a bull can withstand a sledge hammer in the head?
:smashfrea
this is not what he exactly said , but Juan Diaz said he wants all the lightweight straps. Kellerman asked him"What about a match with the linear champ, Casamayor?" Diaz replied "well, when you have all the belts, you are the champion." basically saying, fighting/beating Casamayor does not make him more of a champion or solidify his status of being the champ at the lightweight division.
Yes, but Casamayor doesn't have any of the titles because he is ring champ. And it kinda goes in the process u gotta beat the guy that beat the guy. Casamyor beat Corrales and if Diaz wants Casamayors spot he has to dethrone him.
I think he has the best chance of stopping Pac!!! He is so good at punishing the body of his opponent and that will end up taking a toll on Pacman!!! It is in No way an easy fight for Juan!!! I also think he might be to young for Erik!!! But im still going to back Morales if they do end up locking horns!!!
Diaz no question, whether it be at 130 - 135.
We are going to be witnessing alot of changing of the guards. And this would def be one of them. I thought Popo would have the one punch power to keep Baby Bull away. He didnt, and I can't bet against Diaz again until he's fighting someone as equally big and strong as himself....and they're is not many out there.
