Joe Louis v Billy Conn Tszyu v Mitchell Benn v Watson- not exactly inkeeping with your speed vs timing request but i couldn't resist adding. Benn was throwing clusters of heavy handed bombs but watsons timing and direct counters were something else that night.

He managed to recover because he took punches from second rate hitters. P4P hitters like Tito and Tszyu would murder Cotto. He won't get a chance to recover like he did from feather fisted Corley who was outweighed by some 17lbs yet still ended up on queer street from a shot. Hard punching Torres hit him with some very hard shots, and he wentr to knock him out.
