Manny Pacquiao wants to fight Humberto Soto after the Mexican beat his younger brother Bobby on Saturday night.
Soto put himself in the frame for a possible clash with the Filipino sensation following his impressive seventh-round knockout victory at Madison Square Garden.
Soto (42-5, 26 KOs) landed some crisp punches in the opening round and hurt Pacquiao (27-13, 12 KOs) with a powerful left hook to the body.
It wasn't long before the 26-year-old was down on one knee and the referee deemed it as a knockdown even if replays suggested otherwise.
Soto, 27, continued his aggressive approach and by the the fourth round he cut Pacquiao badly on his right eyebrow and with blood gushing this made his opponent angry but reckless.
The fight ended in the seventh when a firm straight right landed on Pacquiao's jaw and a follow-up left hook saw the brother of 'Pacman' collapse in the corner - and he was not able to beat the referee's count.
But now the elder Pacquiao, who accompanied Bobby on his ring walk, wants to avenge Saturday's result.
He said: "I couldn't explain what I was feeling...I felt pity for Bobby, I felt like crying.
"As of now, yes I want to fight Soto, I'm accepting his challenge to find out how strong he really is."
Chill out bitch
:cop:
I just say that he needs money . not that he is desperate for it..:D
There is easy ways for manny to make money and is not fighting SOTO.
trying to sneak out but you're only drowning yourself more in ownage :D
did you know how stupid your remark was? you're saying he ain't got no motivation anymore yet you just cited one, money.

either sotto or guzman fight will be good next fight for manny ...
but i would prefer guzman first because its for a world title...
Most af Packys FANS prefer that manny fights guzman..
SOTO is wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy more dangerous than guzman i guess :D
I dunno how long Soto can last with Manny.
Pac's motivation is not money, but vengeance. Better throw in Guzman for free after flattening Soto.

Soto put a beating on Rocky Juarez while walking through his best shots, Pacman is more active than Juarez, it will be a very tough fight, Soto will have to give it his all because manny is NOT going to back down, especially since hes on some revenge shit, going against the man who beat on his brother.
I expected Soto to KO Bobby sooner, much sooner and with ease, instead he was rocked and hurt plus he's wide open for the right hook to land. No wonder Soto lost to Kevin Kelley, he has trouble with the Southpaw stance, he comes in reckless instead of letting his opponent come to him and pick him off.
Manny is going to flatten him, I am certain of it
Is this a Charles Bronson film or are we talking about professional boxing? What did Manny expect Soto to do on Saturday? lay down and accept a beating from an average boxer like Bobby Pacquiao. Manny should have bigger things on his mind like Guzman or taking a second fight with JMM, not seeking some petty vengeance on a guy who beat his brother fairly.
watch soto train his ass off and upset manny.
I wouldn't put it past him. Soto deserves a shot at Manny and I wouldn't be suprised at all if he gave Pac a tough fight or even won. The only thing that worries me about Soto is that he leaves himself open and Manny could take advantage of that and KO Soto.
Manny would come in and train hard as well to get his brother's revenge, so even though he might have looked a little lackluster in the beginning against Solis. Against Soto I don't think that would be the case now with his adventure into politics now done. He would be prepared and a fight with Soto would be exciting.
