Cotto vs Hatton, who wins?

Lets not get carried away here.. I've not seen the Cotto / Judah fight..... but calm down.. One victory over an increasingly losing Judah, does not suddenly mean Cotto is the be all and end all at 147...and especially not 140.. Everyone jumping on the band wagon again.... I've been dissappointed with the last few fights Hatton has had, but the first few rounds of the Urango fight, is the style I expect from Hatton for the whole fight in a big Match Up..... If that Hatton turns up...Cotto is really going to have his hands full..Hatton will be in his face all night...

i just watched the cotto judah fight again, i think cotto's body is wide open most of the time.

But maybe you were exaggerating a wee bit by saying noone would give him a good fight. Cotto isnt that great whereby people cant give him a good fight. Again that is silly, and i do not think that you are silly? Ive heard people say PBF would beat Hatton because he is supposedly a master boxer. So someone similar to Hatton i thought Hatton would beat because hatton does what he does well. Hatton is higher in the rankings. Its not brain science but i would think that might mean Hatton might be favourite if they fight, just like Kostya was fave against Haton because he was higher in the rankings. No I doubt Hatton would be favored if him and Cotto fought at 147lbs. I'm not sure about the betting line because that has different factors but in a straight pickem I think Cotto would have a slight majority. (Please people no more talk about 140lbs its getting to the point of stupid)

Because they have the same strengths and weaknesses. The difference is that Cotto has better strenghs and less glaring weaknesses, IMO. Why dont you think Hatton would be one of those guys to give him a good fight at 140. That is a bit silly to say that! Zab Judah gave him a good fight so why not Hatton? Why do people still put what if they fought at 140lbs? Cotto is not a 140lb fighter he is a 147lb fighter. You never saw Castillo or Corrales calling out Hatton to fight at 135lbs. At 147lbs I see Hatton's face getting badly deformed. Look at what Cotto has done against guys who are not known for swelling Abdulev, Quintana, Judah, Malignaggi. Hatton swells up and I think his right eye would close after 5-6 rounds. Cotto by TKO in 9.

I haven`t seen Cotto fight a guy whio would throw as many shots as Hatton. I think Cotto would TKO Hatton at 147 but Hatton could win on points at 140 I agree with that assessment of things.

Hatton would not take a step back like Judah thats for sure

Cotto by KO at both weights. Id love to see this fight too because we know both guys are going to pressure.

Thatr's the interesting thing: Hatton and Cotto are very similar in terms of style, but Cotto hits harder and Hatton throws more. The differences are minor though, and what they have in common is that they win by wearing down their opponent. What would give Hatton the chance is that he starts very quickly while Cotto takes about four rounds to warm up. Cotto may end up giving up too much momentum to be able to take control and use his slight size advantage so I could definitely see Hatton getting a whitewash on the cards in the first six or seven rounds and sharing the spoils of the later rounds. Of course if he faded in the championship rounds as he did against Urango he would be in big trouble, but honestly I've only ever seen him fade like that once, in every other fight he is still the more active fighter in the championship rounds. And yes, that includes the 12th against Collazo.

Hatton would tko him at 140, and win UD at 147. He'd set too high a pace for Cotto to be able to box to his strengths.

Cotto busts his ass at either weight. like urango was going too at 140 hatton tko/kos cotto 147 is a different story after last night id go for cotto ud but woulodnt be surprised if hatton wins

Cotto KILLS Hatton...at any weight.
