On paper this fight seems to have it all; a young exciting undefeated puncher in Miquel Cotto vs. a former world champ who's looking to regain some of his former glory. But is this deserving to be on ppv? Well, we'll find out soon enough when the ppv numbers come out some time next week.
Who's buying?...
I hate ordering pay-per-skrew events but this is a pretty good fight. I don't like hearing what happened from someone else and then wondering if it really happened that way. Spending a week while cursing myself for not ordering the fight knowing I missed Fill-in-the-blank moment doesn't work for me either.
Seriously, what other sport than boxing has shit like people parachuting into the ring, guys biting another persons ears off, or some nut that is winning a fight that can't stop throwing low blows and sets in motion a mini race-riot???
Obviously these events are a rather sad reflection of what human beings will do, but those moments are more "real" than any reality television. I admit I feel compelled to witness them live rather than later at my cable providers discretion.
That really sucks. What city do you live in? I guess I'm spoilded because I can find a bar showing just about any sporting event I want to see over here in NYC.
fuck yeah i wish i was in zoo york. i currently live in ann arbor...nothing showing around here. i'm still going to work out a way to see it before the replay though. maybe i'll get my sister to order it and record it so i can watch it sunday morning.
I called every sports bar I could think of for the DLH/Mayweather fight and they werent showing the fight. So I doubt they show this one.
That sucks.....we have a handful of bars within 10 miles of each other that show all UFC and HBO boxing PPVs......ever consider moving....:D
I never miss these.. Definately not missing this.
Fuck the money. :fing02:
Thats how I am all the way.....
I just got off the phone with my buddy and I'm going to his house(pending wifes approval) and we are gonna split it.I would order anyway but figured I could save a few bucks this way.
brethren...if i hadn't already called every respectable joint around here much to my dismay i would heed this commentary.
even the B Dubs isn't carrying it.

Its not just the fight, its the event. The atmosphere is going to be crazy for that fight. That and the fact that the undercard is pretty good also.
The atmosphere is going to be awesome which should make for a good fight. Plus I wanna see JCC Jr. fight and also Soto/Pacquiao. At first I wasn't going to buy it, but once the fight gets closer it's hard to resist knowin that it's just a click away.
There is a new hybrid out its called a Sports Bar. You might have to pay $5 door charge in some places but most bars will probably be showing this fight.

I can't...it's my best friends birthday and we're hitting the bars in a serious way. I am going to be belligerent tomorrow.
