Zab is really fast, obviously faster then anybody cotto has ever faced.
Cotto is a strong body puncher, the best body puncher ZAB has ever faced.
Anyway, Cotto gets hit a lot. And what does a lot (Against, Mayweather, Tszyu, Spinks...) is after a missed/blocked right hook, he'll immediately come back with a straight left.
He buzzed mayweather and tszyu by doing it, and those guys are far better and more experienced the Cotto is now. And Cotto gets hit a lot more.
So i think Cotto gets hurt badly by a straight left off a missed right hand.
Miguel Cotto is a strong body puncher. He has a competant jab. Anyway, against Mayweather and tszyu and even spinks, probably others as well, When zabs confidence rises, his hands drop.
And he does it all the time, so its not gonna change. But its good for him cause he holds them around his body and protects his body. But Cotto always jumps in with the jab kinda awkwardly if u know what i mean.
So this is what i think happens. Judah just rapes Cotto for the first few rounds. Hurts him badly and and wobbles Cotto. Cotto may weather that storm and if he does adjust to the speed, he'll have a judah with low hands.
So i think Judah gets caught with a flush jab-right hook and his forced to go into a corner or the ropes, and and Cotto gets to the body well. then he does it again and again and again, and maybe hurts Judah BADLY to the body.
Judahs confidence drops, holds his hands higher, body is more open, Cotto gets some great work done there. With no other options, Judah will HAVE to fight back, and then who ever gets caught first will lose.
Its a little picky of me. Like a bit a exact. The chances of these things happening arent all that great. But it think they will.
I pick Cotto winning, but if Cotto cant weather the early storm and adjust, then its JUDAH by EARLY KO
i just hope nobody comes with the "i told you so" shit after the fights over because just about everyone outside of a handful of people are flip flopping on this fight like it's going out of style..
thats what BScene's members are notorious for:puppy_dog :ugh:
Dont underestimate Ward. He may not be on Cotto's level as an overall boxer but dude was one of the best body punchers in recent time
Yea but they were borderline illegal a lot of the times.
Cotto is a clearn body puncher and he still cripples guys.
If Cotto gets to the body from round one, fights over. If he gets there sperodically its a great fight till someone gets hurt. If he cant get to the body, Judah blows him out early
are you serious ward is def not a better body puncher then Cotto....Cotto has more knock wins by a body pucnh then ward ever has just for starters

Cotto isnt a better body puncher then Ward. I think its close to a 50/50 fight but Im picking Zab because I think his southpaw style will give him a big problem just like Chop did. Cotto has done good against other soutpaws but those guys go backwards and Paulie had some good moments. Chop came right back at him and so will Zab.
Its just like the Floyd fight early. Zab's speed is good but thats secondary. Its his speed combined with his southpaw style. It takes awhile to figure out and I think Cotto will get caught by some flush punches and Zab is a much better finisher then those other guys he's fought

Yeah but Paulie got a few shots on him and Chop got a bunch of good shots on him. Cotto is too aggressive sometimes and Southpaws can hit you with blind punches so quick. Thats why Pac is so great. Ive always said that if he was a righty then he would be solid but nothing special. When your a lefty people cant see your punches or they see them and think they have a perfect D but still get hit. That causes for a punch to hurt even more. You could have a righty and a lefty with the same amount of power but if you fought them then you would swear the lefty hit harder because its a blind punch or you can see it but still cant stop it. They also come straight down the pipe alot of times when your a lefty.
Ive gone back & forths on this fight a ton of times and its really because I think both fighters are very good but I dont trust either of them
:lol1: I've gotten hit by a southpaw so suddenly and dramatically I was looking at the light fixtures and couldn't figure out why..
Oh, and the southpaw stance won't bother Cotto much. He's a natural lefty and knows what to expect. Just look at the Quintana fight.

yeah and I also dont mean that Zab's just going to stalk him. Ill just think he'll mix it up but wont stay going backwards like a Spinks. One thing I dont want to see is Cotto breaking Zab's spirit. That has happend to Zab a few times against bums and it looks bad but against Cotto it will look brutal. Against Baldy, Pineda, and a few others, the fight go boring and they were taking the fight to Zab as it went on. He's still won his share of those fights but the crowd booed and he looked so unconfident. If that happend against Cotto it will be so embarrasing because Zab will almost be running late while Cotto is trapping him in the corner and murdering him with punches. He'll never get a big fight again if that happends. Even against Floyd that basically happend. Zab has to understand that if things arent going his way then he cant just go into a shell. He has to do something and he has to let his hands go
The only problem with that theory is that Cotto doesn't throw the straight right as much as those other fighters. Cotto leads with his left, far too often, but it's effective, so he keeps doing it. When he does use the right, it's always after the jab or a left hook.
BTW, I've picked Cotto to win from the beginning. I just don't think Zab will be able to handle the pressure (he crumbles against pressure fighters) so Cotto will catch him and punish him. I think Zab will probably win the first two rounds because he'll dance around and get out of Cotto's way but he'll eventually catch up to him and tire him out to the body.
Cotto KO 6.

o yea ward. Well Cotto is obviously a better fighter then ward techinically and hits just as hard.
And Zab may start out coming at him, but once he feels the body shots i bet he backs off and Cotto becomes the agressor.
I agree with the last paragraph. Thats what im saying. Cotto wont be used to that in the early goings, so its possible that he just gets blown out. But he'll have 15,000 puerto rican fans versus Judahs 5,000 NY fans. The crowd should allow him to weather to storm until he can figure him out.
As soon as Cotto figures out the southpaw stance and the speed, its gonna be high octane action until someone has had enough

I know this will happen. I have thought about this situation many times. Cotto lunges in when he throws straight rights too. I can see Zab tagging him with that. I dont know if Cotto can take that punch or not. If he can then I think he will eventually stop Judah.

cotto is going to win because he is the better fighter. that's my prediction. if im wrong im wrong...life goes on.
