I think its about 95% likely that the fight goes to the cards, both guys are just to smart and good defensively. Winky is going to make Hopkins work a lot more than he's used to and I think the fight will turn out to be a pretty good fight, I'm looking forward to it. My pick is Winky to win by a couple rounds on the cards just because his game plan is just to fight like he always does, Jermain Taylor couldn't really faze him so a don't see Hopkins putting anything on him. But I'll be rooting for Hopkins and I hope I'm wrong
If you're gonna bring up Hopkins' fight with Tarver, you have to also include his two bouts with Taylor. Wright did far better against Taylor than Hopkins did.
I know styles make fights....but neither fighters are exactly "busy" fighters.
In Hopkins Taylor 1 Hopkins had Jermain wobbled and I thought he won the fight by a couple of rounds. But this wont be anything like Those fights or even Winky vs Taylor. Hopkins won't back straight up it will be side to side all night long with his own jab in winks face. Also Winky looked pretty fuckin busy againt Taylor.
but the weight..if this fight were to take place before the Tarver fight...i would say Winky wins all the way... but Hopkins is so confertable at 170... and he looked great when he killed Tarver
let's what and see what happens
yea your right about that.. hopkins picked the perfect weight for him.. i like this fight better then delahoya mayweather
it would be nice.. but winkys hands are too fast

That's not what his record says. Hopkins will show he can be defeated again in July.
you have to understand he didnt even develop his style till after the vargas fight and i thought he beat vargus.. but his left got better now i dont think anybody can beat um.. this will be a great fight
In Hopkins last 3 fights, didnt he average like 15 punches thrown a round? lol
That aint gonna beat Winky when he averages about 80 punches a round
I dont care if he doesnt land, it obviousl doesnt matter if he lands or not... ASK TAYLOR:tapedshut
as for saying hopkins is going to ko winky, no. winky isnt going to get ko'd in this fight, he's a professional just like hopkins is. i think this fight is going to come down to one thing, who worked more inside the ring. who is the busier guy will determine the outcome of this fight; unless there is some serious bombs being landed and it changes the momentum of the fight......other than that happening, who ever throws more will win..........
I'm a hopkins fan so i want him to win and i think he is going to win by UD, but this fight can easily be won by winky in the same regards to hopkins, thats the reality of this fight............
I think the fight will come down to if Hopkins can sustain the work rate Wright will bring into the fight. The best way for Hopkins to win is to fight Wright in the same manner he fought Joppy, put lots of pressure and fight in close quarty. Wrights power wont bother Hopkins and Hopkins needs to take chances in this fight and manage to pressure Wright hard and in almost every round. If Hopkins still can fight 12 rounds with high pressure he will win for sure, if not Wright will outpoint Hopkins and really dominate in the later rounds.
you make it sound like Winky is small or something//// :ugh:
yeah but hopkins is a monster man. i think the key to victory is attack winkys body , i mean hopkins should engage , winky won't be knocking him out. bernard has some pop in his hands unlike winky.
lol Tarver was weight drained. You can't measure Hopkins KO power by that fight unless another fighter comes in weight drained. Wright is coming up in weight so throw that right out the window.
very true and when was the last time Hopkins Koed a real middleweight.Winky is not even a true middleweight but he still won't be stopped like other who came up to fight Hopkins at 160(DLH,Tito) let alone to fight him at 170!
