lol
Hmmmmm. :owned:
yoo ur so rite how people try flippin the convo, and cant admit to this. but wat i also like to add is y does floyd like to pick on fight he knw he could win, like knw he callin out tito for wat he retire dats a easy win, and now sumwat on cotto. i mean come on if u claim to be the best then fight the best.like hopkins maybe hatton, maybe cotto give him like 2more fights, mosley, manny, chavez jr when he gets a lil more experience. :boxing:
Yeah ok, they haven't fought the best people, but they are held as opponents that could actually give Mayweather a challenge. Cotto is undefeated as well, he doesn't know how to lose. He went through hell against Torres to make sure he got the W. I don't like Margarito but he would also put Floyd through hell as he knows there has been a lot of talk put out on him and he'd have to back it up. I mean shit, all these opponents Floyd's faced, you easily could predict the winner before the fight happened. Oscar was the first fight everyone wasn't completely sure of. Why? Cause it was first opponent he stepped up to that could give him a challenge minus Castillo. If he fought Cotto, Margarito, Williams, or any of the mentioned that could would challenge him, people wouldn't immediately predict outcome.that's funny to me that you would mention cotto and hatton giving floyd a challenge, because hatton turned floyd down twice, and bob arum wouldn't let cotto fight floyd, and many people predict as well as claim that floyd would kill cotto, because of his skills. margarito comes up to challenge floyd, floyd turns him down for the reason of him not being a big name, and then bob arum calls floyd a punk after floyd releases himself from bob arum, but then margarito fights clottey, and almost loses that fight, then he turns down a fight with his madatory, paul williams. you explain to me who margarito has fought to make a fight with floyd. floyd fights the wbc champion, baldomir, who had two very impressive performances and victories against judah and gatti. then floyd dominates them. that fight meant more than floyd vs antonio for sure. and those fighters you mentioned would not be favorites against floyd. floyd would be predicted to win instantly against them all, even if they pose a challenge to him. not paul williams, not margarito, not hatton, and not cotto.
That is true.
I thought Chico was high before the FLoyd fight as well.
He always looked drained to me at 135 and that fight was at 130 but he had alot of success obviously so I guess he wasn't.
Corrales was ranked #5 in The Ring's p4p ranking on the issue for the awards of 2000, with Felix Trinidad on the cover winning Fighter of the Year, shortly before Mayweather beat him.
Corrales was actually ranked higher at the time in the magazines than Mayweather was, as Corrales was active and fighting better guys and winning in more impressive fashion (Jukko, Manfredy) than Mayweather's (G. Vargas, Burton/Augustus).
Genaro Hernandez was ranked #11 on the p4p rankings in KO. I have the issue here in front of me, for December 1998, with Roy Jones on the cover, titles "Why Can't We Appreciate Roy Jones?". It's funny because the article by Bernard Fernandez is rather critical of Jones while the title of the cover seems to be defending him.
The Dynamite Dozen in this issue, is "For Period Ended August 2, 1998", is as follows.
1. Oscar De La Hoya
2. Roy Jones
3. Evander Holyfield
4. Felix Trinidad
5. Mark Johnson
6. Pernell Whitaker
7. Naseem Hamed
8. Johnny Tapia
9. Ricardo Lopez
10. Bernard Hopkins
11. Genaro Hernandez
12. Ike Quartey
I don't have the issue I mentioned earlier of the Ring with Tito on the cover to give you the full list, but I'm sure that Chico was #5.

Cool. Let's turn this into a Manny thread outta the blue.
Ok well, I really believe Marquez is the easiest fight for Manny to take right no. No offense to the Mexicans here that believe he's your last hope. You still got Raf. But Guzman would be a stylistic nightmare for Manny. Marquez would be the easiest in my opinion based on how things have looked recently. Marquez got dropped by Barrera. Manny is real strong at 130lbs. Manny fought the worst possible fight against Marquez in first bout and still managed a draw that could have been turned in his favor. Manny knows what to do this time around and prepare properly as he had one of those let the fans in to watch him train for Marquez and not take him as serious. He basically wanted to get through Marquez quick to get to Morales. On the other hand, Guzman is slick, real fast, and his shots will sting no doubt. He could easily UD Manny.
Pacquiao hasn't said no yet to fighting Marquez...
It's just Bob Arum wants Pacquiao to fight Guzman...and I'm not sure why
Last I read though Marquez outpriced from fighting Manny...
Also, I think the WBC gave Pacquiao an offer to fight Marquez and Pacquiao took it.
And if Marquez outprice himself again against Pacquiao, I can't help but believe Marquez is the one thats shook
pacquiao is afraid to fight marquez again:ugh:

yea for real..i haven't heard of Manny saying no to any fight...but PBF on the other hand is the pickiest fighter out there....i still think P4P boxer as far as dominance over opponents is PBF at 1 at Pacquiao at 2....honestly neither PBF and Pacman aren't fighting the toughest option out there, whether or not is their choice....it's just Arum is picking BS fights for Manny and PBF is money first....
i wanna see Pacman vs Z Raheem and PBF beat the mess out of Hatton...
if Oscar and PBF fight again they both need semi-tuneup fights...Oscar fights Margarito at a catch weight...and winner fights PBF...actually how bout this...
matchups with Oscar, Cotto, Hatton, Margarito---winner fights PBF
if Pacman can sweep his current division, move up in weight and win some lightweight fights....then he deserves a catch-weight fight with PBF...that's money!!!
Well that's just the point I'm trying to make. Floyd is very choosey. He makes sure he takes fights he knows he has a 99% chance at winning. Why the hell would he take on Zab after he was just beaten by Baldomir? Then go after Baldomir who had absolutely nothing on Floyd. Floyd says weight doesn't matter. Obviously that means, any argument Floyd could of had that he was going up in weight and Carlos had a size advantage over him means absolutely nothing. Floyd is a fraud. His legacy is a joke, and people that think he's something big are just being blinded by the bullshit he feeds everyone. He has skills that he never put up against real competition.
How about you answer genious :nonono:

Has he fought anyone while they were top 10 P4P? No...
Has he been ducked by fighters while they were top 10 P4P. Yes...
LoL. Please leave this thread now. I've heard enough. :hijacked:
Acelino Freitas was a big hit at 130 when Floyd moved up to 135, Joel Casamayor who like Floyd medalled in the Olympics, except he got gold, they were both extremely promising fighters at that time, the next at 135 was Spadafora, who we now know as garbage, but we've all seen the sparring clip where Mayweather took a beating, that was a fight that could have been materialised, but didn't..
And at 140 there was Hatton, and not to forget the action at welter.. Cotto, Margarito, Mosley.
He'd rather fight an old, fat Trinidad instead of those guys?
It's ludicrous.
Come on dude, dont take mayweather so seriously, one min he retiring, next min he's fighting trinidad, he just playing the media,
Wait and see what happens,
Everyone knows mayweather began camp and spaddy was summin like a week away from fight night, i heard spaddy got offered out and pussied out.
Frietas....lol, Mayweather beats him hands down.
Hatton didnt wanna fight ( see sins sig above)
Casamayor is pure class, love the guy, he is p4p, both offically and the true meaning also,
Here's where we can agree,
1) Mayweather aint the greatest of all time
2) He aint better than Ray Leonard.
3) He needs to fight more big names instead of retiring.
