Not really. Even as a big Toney fan I can understand it. Im not sure if he is top 50, top 100 for sure though. Like I said before, if he doesnt test positive for the Ruiz fight he probably makes that list. Four division champ, one of only three fighters to win the Middleweight and Heavyweight championship. It would have counted for a lot.
It doesnt suprise me Toney didnt make it. He is pretty underrated when it comes to all time lists. If he wouldnt have tested positive after the Ruiz fight it would be automatic.
...Yep, it's fucking horrible. Worst list ever. You could take the 40-50 group and compare them favorably to the 1-10 group in greatness, but basically the whole list is shit.
Jones need to be in the top 5....James toney isn't even on the list...wtf
I saw the beginning of this the other day and thought it was so ridiculous that I didnt even bring it to the boards....

well, all top 50, top 100 lists are bullshit. so is saying any fighter was the best ever. i will not suck a fighter's cock like that.
i agree with the assessment that this is a stupid fucking list. of course i'm biased in that i hate lists anyways.
i didn't see kostya tszyu's name on the list though. how could one put roy jones on the list and not kostya tszyu?
I don't know maybe I just am a RJJ hater but I thought the list was pretty decent other than RJJ being on it. In reality he beat 3 respectable opponents in his whole career (Toney, Hopkins, Ruiz). Toney and Hopkins both looked less than respectable on those nights and while I'd like to give RJJ the benefit of the doubt for making them look bad, he never gave them a rematch to prove it. I also wouldn't have Tyson on and I would add Lennox. As for the top 10, certainly Dempsey could be out but he was influential to the sport far beyond his ring skills and I have to figure that was part of the criteria.
