Looks like we have some conflicting opinions on this forum. I really enjoyed the fight personally, some people disagree, wondering what the generally consensus is. The question is intentionally very general: In your opinion, was the fight good?
Honestly, no it wasnt. Not because it wasnt a slugfest, but because it didnt seem like either guy was fighting to win, and both were just fighting not to lose. Floyd obviously didnt impress anybody and damage dlh at all, or give him a boxing lesson. Oscar was the aggressor, but he still needed to be more aggressive against floyd if he wanted the decision. Was an entertaining fight, but its hard to be satisfied saying pbf was the better man when he didnt remotely hurt oscar or convincingly outbox him.
I think it was worth it and oscar did press as much as he could so I give him credit for making it entertaining b/c if he would of jabed all night it could of been real boring fight. I give Floyd credit for taking some and not running at high speeds.

I thought it was a good standard fight..I didnt see anything special from either fighter,Ok a few shots from Mayweather that landed bang on DLH left temple a few times, they were bang on target. Did I enjoy it yes...But it was nothing like how the fight was billed
Very entertaining fight, the tension was incredible,it wasnt a war,but i think most smart boxing fans knew it wasnt gna be a war,it didnt have to be,it was a very good fight, the undercard was bullshit but hey,i didnt wanna see it anyway
Good point, it was a entertaining fight for REAL BOXING FANS. People that just watched it because of all the hype are the one's mad!
It would have been stupid of Floyd to stand and go toe-to-toe because hes gota think of his health, hes been jumping weights too much,he only had 3 fights at Welterweights, one with a natural welterweight, then jumped right up to light middle, its risky for a fighter to do that, but he still gave us a good performance,he didnt run,he was moving in circles, even letting Oscar flurry on him against the ropes, similar to Mayweather-N'dou

this is what i want to hear. i didn't think it was wise to pay much more than i thought the event should've been priced at. for $55, i want to know wether people thought it was a good overall purchase after watching it.
i'll wait for it to air on regular hbo.
I thought it was a good fight and worth the money. I was disappointed because I thought Floyd was going to go toe to toe with Oscar more than he did. I thought he was looking to prove people wrong but he fought a smart fight and deserved the win I think.
Yeah, it would have been nice for Floyd to fight more toe to toe. I think everyone would have liked to see that a bit more, but I can definately understand why he didn't: It would have been stupid of him.
I enjoyed the fight very much. I thought de la hoya would win because he would be so much bigger, but i wanted mayweather to win. I couldnt understand why people thought it would be a blow out.
