:boxing: Looking at last nights fight, Ricky Hattons has a very good chance of beating Mayweather if it ever happens..Ricky beats DLH hands down.:boxing:
What do you think?
i think you're a fukken idiot. odlh and mayweather both humiliate hatton.
M8 you are another one of them fowl mouth pricks!! Nothing in what you have said there explains where your coming from at all....I aint gonna sit here banging silly little girls slanging match with ya..Jog on fella jog on fella
Hmm yeah maybe, i'll be honest, im not sure Kosta Tsuyu is the fighter people think he is,
He didnt wanna fight mayweather, people dont bring that up, Mayweather called him out several times, he had took hatton instead thinking it would be an easy night,
Skills wise i dont see the hype with Tsuyu, but ive seen little of him to make that claim competant,
Dont think Hatton has fought one slick fighter, dont think he wants to fight a slick fighter, dont think he could handle a slick fighter.
The idea that he will stay at 140 and not fight the WBC champion is hillarious, he doesnt even wanna unify his own divsion.
Bet ya if harris beat Witter, he would consider fighting Harris. lol.
Not exactly sure if Mayweather was calling out Tszyu prior to the Hatton fight with true intentions at that particular point. Mayweather could of probably fought Tszyu right after Zab or around 2002/03, although I am not sure if this was part of the time when Tszyu started to get injury prone, causing him to hold off on fights.
I do remember hearing Mayweather sending Tszyu a call to see if he wanted to fight, but this was after the Hatton loss. I do remember hearing Tszyu say, "If I wanted a fight with Mayweather, I know I could get it right now", but I just do not remember exactly when this was: before or after the Hatton fight.
At one point I thought Mayweather backed off the Tszyu fight after he saw his boy Zab get blitzed, but who knows, maybe I am wrong.
In an article leading up to the fight with Tszyu, Zab did say Tszyu was a declined fighter/"Not the same fighter he once was" prior to their fight. This was in response to Kostya saying he was going to look at some "old tapes" of himself and fight the way he used to.
Remember, the Tszyu we saw later on and even around the Phillips fight was not the same Tszyu that made his name in the amatuers and early part of his career. He seemed to go from an incredible elusive, combination punching, fast, powerful machine to somehow going to the "Soviet" style that I can't remember him ever having in the fights I watched from his amatuer and early part of his pro career. What happened? I am not sure. I always blame Sunny Australia to make me feel better.
I really do think if he came to the States instead of Sunny Australia he would of reached his full potential and pushed himself to the next level because he would of had to. Being around the best sparring partners, great training and trainers, great fighters, the "American" attitude, etc. Tszyu would of been better off, at least from a fighter's stand point.
For Hatton, Tszyu wasn't 100%. Nobody in their mid 30's, coming off a long layoff from two serious injuries that needed surgery, having fought only 9 rounds in 3 years is going to be 100%; especially not fighting a young, hungry, punching machine like Hatton.
Hatton!
Ricky would destroy Floyd!
He's a brawler who doesn't mind the sight of his own blood.
In this fight, the first time Floyd gets cut he'd panic and then Ricky would kick his you know what.
Mayweather made the fight with Oscar more difficult: all he had to do is what he was doing later in the fight, don't stay near the ropes and just move.
I would love to see Hatton and Mayweather fight. Sadly, I don't think Hatton would win but nor do I think it is impossible that he could win and he would certainly give Floyd more problems than some people think.
Man, no matter what happened, it would be an exciting fight because Hatton would make Mayweather fight. Shit, he retired the raning Jr. Welter in the world. Why wouldn't he have a chance agains Mayweather. A lot of pressure is the key to beating a slick boxer.
Let's keep it real for a second. Hatton is way too slow for a guy like Floyd. Again, we are talking about a fighter that had loads of trouble against Collazo. He was rocked a few times and beat to the punch often. Floyd is much faster and stronger than Collazo. Do you really think Hatton has a chance against Floyd?
This type of stuff really does bore me. It leads to people having to justify the performance, which people then claim to be 'excuses', where if people didnt just focus so much on ONE fight, there would be no need for excuses.
Hatton had a bad night against Collazo. He has never really struggled in any other fight. PBF had a bad night against Castillo. Dont judge a fighter based off one fight and dont use triangular logic.
Then why did he move out of 147 in the first place?
It would make more sense for him to move up there are bigger fights out there at 147 than with Castillo at 140.
The other guy who i would really pick over Hatton is Judah, i think Judah would hurt him so bad, but hatton would have more chance in that fight,
Judah is a superquick southpaw, hatton wouldnt like that.
Simple fact was that he wasnt ready for 147. Really, after Castillo there isnt really anyone else worth fighting at 140, so he doesnt have much choice. He'll have to prepare well and he'll have to get settled at that weight.
And what in the world would make Hatton's chances better than Oscar's smaller and has less punching power and never been in there with a top guy?
Hatton was in with Tyszu and he won. DLH has not beaten many of his top guys. Stop the triangular logic madness.
After watching the DLH fight, I've come to the conclusion to have a chance against Floyd you have to come close to matching his speed. I used to think if anybody pressured him they could win, but that's what DLH tried to do and it didn't work. Hatton couldn't match Floyd's speed, and thus Floyd would win by UD.
He doesnt take any fight at 140 after Castillo as far as I'm concerned. He's going to be looking for 2 or 3 big fights and he'll likely have to step up to 147 for that. Fighting Witter would seem like a step backwards to me.

To be fair though, there's no pleasing the fans. People dont want him to chase titles, they want him to make big fights. So he makes a pretty big fight and they whinge cos he hasnt unified his division.
A junior witter fight is a big fight in britain, and he can unify,
What other fights does he take at 140? , Please tell me.
He talking about Fighting De La Hoya but he cant even get in the ring with Junior Witter?

Perhaps it is nationality. I've definitely seen more of Hatton than I have of Floyd and I've seen Hatton adapting and doing whatever it takes to win. I am confident that Hatton could do that against Floyd, which is why I would bet on him to win. However I am not delusional, I'm perfectly well aware of the fact that PBF would very rightly be the favourite. I just feel that Hatton would be able to step up to the game and have the night of his life and if Floyd isnt at 100%, then I think that Hatton would take advantage.

Perhaps I would, perhaps I wouldnt.
There are few absolutes in predicting boxing contests. Only the fight itself can prove you right or wrong.
oh of course, anyone can win on an given night, i have already said floyd could break his hands badly,
Thing is, from what we have seen of both of them, it wouldnt be wise to put any money on hatton,
Unless your one of those guys who likes going for the underdog,
Take away nationality and nostalgia, and PBF should win the fight clearly.
You would lose that money,
Perhaps I would, perhaps I wouldnt.
