I have a carreer set of Gatti fights and i recently watched De la Hoya vs Gatti for the first time. That fight was dominant and as onesided as Gatti mayweather. Whos win over gatti was more impressive? I personally thin pbfs win was more impressive what do you guys think?
Mayweather honestly. Oscar beat Gatti down. Mayweather embarrased him in front of all his fans. Floyd was just landing about everything he threw.
My point exactly.
Oscar went in and finished him early, and did his job. Mayweather decided to toy around with someone who isn't near his level just to impress his blind nuthugging fans.......That's the bottom line.
Only a lab chimp with no concept of what a television was would pick Gatti to win a fight with Mayweather. The pathetic thing is.......everyone big ups that victory and points to that being Mayweather's defining win:
Sad, Sad Sad.

Damn, I just watched Mayweather vs. Gatti again on my DVR. That shit hurt even worse then the 8th time I saw it. Not me personally. I walked out with 200 dollars of my coworkers money when the shit was all done with. No disrespect towards Gatt at all. He just was up against HOF talent's, and couldn't match them. PBF vs. Gatti was just a mismatch, plain and simple. I'm going to watch it for a 9th time right now.:boxing:

By far Mayweather was more impressive.
BY FAR.
De La Hoya vs. Gatti saw Arturo actually getting off and landing.
He had the crowd reacting to his combos..
Floyd made Gatti look like he was the guy who parks cars at the Boardwalk..
do u think it woulda been as one sided as pbfs win?
DLH would KO gatti outright if they fought now. I'm not sure if it would look quite as one sided as Gatti vs Mayweather, only because it would end much sooner.
Good question... But to me it was PBF. I think DLH fought a less battered Gatti and dominated him. But that molliwhoppng PBF gave Gatti, man, that shit was just hard to watch. Brutal stuff.
Doesnt matter which weight he was at he would have lost either way to either of them. But Gatti had been through much more when he fought Mayweather, De la Hoya would have knocked out the current Gatti much sooner...

Are you kidding me? The fight was at 147. Gatti is a total joke at welterweight and he was still able to hold his own while clearly being the smaller man against DLH. He will probably lose to that bum Alfonso Gomez...
How many punches did Gatti land against DLH? How many did he land against Mayweather?

Definitely Mayweather's victory was more impressive. Like what was said before it was a straight up boxing clinic. Gatti seemed to not land a single punch and Mayweather seemed to never miss. I know Gatti is pretty much a punching bag, but he usually still has enough fire power and heart to compete against most. Against Mayweather he had absolutely no chance.
gatti landed in the first.

They both were impressive. Floyd outclassed him and DLH beat him in an entertaining fight. Combos and all that shit.
But I would choose Floyd win. It was more impressive, yet embarrasing.
I agree, my brother who is just a casual fan asked me if i think the beating gatti receaved from de la hoya took alot out of him.....and if it did then wouldnt that mean that the gatti the Pbf got a hold of was less skilled than the one odlh foguht.
I hope u get what i meant by that
dlh definitely beat the fresher gatti. he was shop worn by the time floyd fought him not that it would have made a difference in the outcome
Gatti was better against Floyd than he was against Oscar.
First of all it was at 140. Second of all Buddy McGirt was in his corner and that improved Gatti. Gatti was walking straight in to DLH.
BUT styles make fights and Oscar is never going to go untouched like Mayweather did.
Gatti was in his prime vs De La Hoya.
He was much past it vs Floyd.
there was never a day that GATTI could survive more then 8 rounds with Floyd.
Mayweathers win was much more impressive. If i remember it correctly, Didnt Gatti do a good job boxing with De La Hoya in that first round?
