Simply put,why are you favoring him over Cotto?Im not trying to disrespect or call you a moron or anything.Because Zab's certainly got a good chance of pulling it out. There's no denying his physical skills. But unless your predicting an early knockout(which is his best shot IMO),I just don't see it.Do you really see him staying focused for twelve rounds against someone like Cotto? When he's failed to do that so many times in the past.If it does go the full twelve rounds, and Zab doesn't hurt Miguel at all in that time,do you think Zab will be active enough to get the nod?He seems to have some trouble letting those hands go in the later rounds when he's been discouraged in anyway.Your thought's please...
Baldomir also rocked Arturo Gatti. I wouldn't trivialize Baldomir's power.
Good point, the way I see it Baldomir is too slow to catch people like Judah, for the most part, clean enough to get knockouts, hence his low knockout percentage.
Judah was rocked badly twice in the 7th, and then massivly in the 12th. He rocked Gatti in about every round. Cotto undoubtedly has the power Baldomir has, just not the chin. If Judah eats the shots that he took against Baldomir, and clowns around as much, it will be a short night for both of them.
But for some reason I can't see Cotto winning this.
Zab Judah TKO 11 maybe?
Hey, you are free to root on Cotto, I really don't care, but on this thread you started by saying I should "quit announcing fights and start paying attention to them" - I blew that comment off, because I don't have time for people who simply throw insults like they are in grade school.
But now you are trying to tell me Cotto cuts off the ring like a fighter with good footwork would, and I have to say - please, spare me.
It all boils down to Zab, because if he wants this bad enough, (and I know he does from talking to him) there is no way a fighter like Cotto is going to beat a fighter with the quickness of Judah, it's just not happening. This is a bad matchup for Cotto, who will be surprised at the power and speed of Judah - and in this one, you will see Cotto backing up before it's over, mark my words on that...
Sorry to see that you took it as an insult but I didn't mean it in that way..It was more of a jokey joke!! but anyway I'm in no way saying that Judah has no chance. I would be a fool to think that. All I'm saying is give Cotto some credit. You're making it sound as if speed is all you need in the sport of boxing to blow pass people. Yes this could possibly be a bad matchup but if Cotto come in sticking his jab & attacking the body cutting off the ring etc... He will prevail.

Good point & I've been saying this from the beginning that I think it's a bad matchup for Cotto. I like Cotto but he's going to be fighting a completely different fighter in Judah. If Mayweather had trouble with Judah's speed Cotto is going to be in a world of trouble. And not only does he have to adjust to the speed but he has to deal with his power.
When have I seen Cotto cutting off the ring ? <~~are you for real ?
:Answer: Plenty of times. Miguel cuts the ring off very well.
Cotto has been rocked by corley & Torres who have who have more KO's than Baldomir & Spinks who's feather fisted so you still want to talk about chins ?

Good points, but Judah's chin seems worse IMO.He was rocked by Baldomir for god's sake.Cotto's also the harder puncher IMO.
Baldomir also rocked Arturo Gatti. I wouldn't trivialize Baldomir's power.
That was pretty funny, I got a chuckle too. Funny thing though, Zab actualy sparred with Sweet Pea years ago! As for paying attention to the fight - when have you seen Cotto even cut off the ring, how about latteral movement? Nope none there, handspeed - that goes to Zab as well, and by a LARGE margine at that. Power, I'll say this, I personaly think Zab has more power than Cotto. Is Cotto's chin any better than Judah's? I doubt it, he has been rocked by fighters with much less pop than Zab. The question that will have to be answered is whether or not Zab will stay focused - if he does, he wins it period. This fight will not go the distance, and I still say Zab wins by a KO in 7....

Cotto should be called Slowoo , because everytime he throws a punch birds nest on his arms before he lands a punch.....Zab will easily beat cotto....it'll be like zab vs witter...where zab will systematically out speed cotto and will land a devastating uppercut to end the fight....Zab may get tired in the later rounds if it goes that far but cotto is slower than baldimir....so i predict zab will be the guest of honor in the puerto rican parade.....
:lame: Baldi faster than Cotto...lol...Judah will look good for a couple of rounds than it'll be downhill. Some eyes need to be checked fast. Then again you've always been anti-cotto so no surprise there.
Cotto TKO 10
No its not. Prime Taylor was a way better boxer than Judah's ever been, Cotto boxes better than JCC, he hasn't shown much boxing lately but he can beat Judah even if Judah decides to pot shot or brawl, don't matter.
Really?..
How is Cotto going to deal with those high speed lasers coming at his head?
He'll have to endure, at the very least, several rounds of animal agresson..
Judah is going to put his hands all over Cotto, son. :killyou:
Is this fair to call this a Taylor/Chavez Fight? Speed vs Power?

Cotto will beat Judah, Cotto is similar stylisticly to Baldomir, and we all saw what Baldomir did to Judah. I always though though, that Cotto was prehaps a bit faster than Baldo.
Yeah man Cotto is gonna get knocked out. Judah is faster than Mayweather and also packs a good punch.
Judah will be hitting Cotto almost at will and Cotto is gonna drop.
Cotto is wayyyy to slow the speed difference in this fight it going to be huge.

That's a bold fucking statement for a fighter The Ring calls "El Misterio."
baldy didnt "drop" him tho, thats the diffrence... cotto was DROPPED by a bum... Baldy didnt drop judah, he just landed a square shot on the chin, that will Stagger just about anyone... if its a perfect shot
Ill rate they chins about even
That bum had 24 KOs in 26 fights, Judah got dropped by Spinks who can't punch for shit and has been knocked out..... Sure you wanna go there?
this forum cracks me up
miranda is a small favorite to beat pavlik yet people are all over here talking about pavlik is gonna get KTFO inside of 1 round.. saying he doesent even belong
meanwhile judah is a 4.5-1 to beat cotto but it seems to be the majority opinion that hes gonna win
Judah is hard to hit Zoo caught him and Floyd is the best in the game. His speed and power will give Cotto alot of trouble. I think Cotto is a good fighter but his chin is a question mark still, and his opposition is good but Judah is a big step up. That is why i favor Judah over Cotto and probably others. Peace
When people say Cotto is slow, it stupid. When Judah got tagged by Baldimor who is by far slower than Cotto. So then I wouldn't use the word slow.
Cotto wins this fight KO 8th round.
