Put it this way: Calzaghe gets the hometown. Kessler gets the money he deserves (around $5m). Kessler get the one fight he wants more than other (Calzaghe doesnt, Calzaghe would rank Hopkins, Wright and Taylor all ahead of Kessler). If it happens in July, then Calzaghe gets the date he wants. If it happens in September, then Kessler gets the date he wants.

The largest offer for Calzaghe isn't coming from Denmark. Kessler shouldn't get paid as much as he is essentially the challenger and the less proven fighter by quite a way. I would agree with a 60/40 split in favor of Joe. As far as where the fight will take place they should have it at a nuetral site. I know both guys sell huge in their home countries, but we also know that both do good in front of their home crowds. I would like to see them fight in nuetral grounds where no man would have the advantage. In the end though i really don't care where this fight takes place as long as it happens. The problem with a neutral venue is that the is massive money to be made staging this fight in the UK and denmark and a neutral venue doesn't make economic sense. PLus Joe has fought and won in germany its not like he has only ever fought in the UK.

$4 million net would be reasonable. Warren is a cheap bastard. Warren is a crook, so is Palle. Palle asked for German TV rights, as you'd know if you'd been paying attention to these negotiations. So don't try and act clever. palle wanted the german rights is news to me..!! the only one i have heard claiming this is warren, this to me is far from enough proof..

I don't know that anybody has said it'll make the most money in the UK but it'll make more in the UK or Denmark than it will in the US and everybody knows its very very unlikely warren will take the fight in Denmark leaving the UK as the only real option if the fights ever going to happen.

You'd have to factor in everything to generate them sorts of purses for the relative camps. Pool it all, 60/40 down the line, as befitting a Champion/#1 Contender bout that this is. Hold it somewhere big like London. Sorted. I should be a promotor. I'd write funnier letters than Palle and bluff better than Warren. That's how I see it. Could even see about staging it at Wembley.

no its not the typycal corporate suit business talk, but a shout to frank and calling him out, palle is propably getting tired of offers not quite good enough.. well yes im a kessler fan.. well im not sure how this fight is going to go, calzaghe has better speed, but not to the ecstent some are giving him credit for, he WAS very fast, but now the difference in speed between kessler and joe isnt big, and im thinking kessler is more powerfull then any other boxer joe has ever boxed.. some say kessler is the perfect fight for joe, but they are under the assumption that kessler is slow and to one dimensional, i think they are going to be surprised, but in the end, its not going to be a easy fight, the winner is going to dig deep.. Jeff Lacy and Byron Mitchell are probably more powerful than Kessler. Kessler hits reasonably hard but is not a power puncher, his power is about the same as Calzaghe's power was pre-2003. I think Kessler is a good all round fighter and is certainly not one dimensional despite his very rigid style.
