This isn't the full one shown on HBO earlier today. It does show Oscar without his usual hair style. Its a little over 1 minute.

Anyone who thinks Floyd is a bad guy is stupid. How can you say something like that without even knowing the guy? Why dont you ask one person who knows him and watch what they will tell you. Floyd talks smack to boxers but so what. Thats what the sport is about.
Name one time that you have ever heard of Floyd dissing the common man? There are a million stories about Floyd doing charity, giving away stuff, signing autographs for hours, talking to anyone who comes up to him, and so on. I could go on forever. Dont mix the guy who promotes fights up with the human being.
Boxing is the most cut throat business there is and fighters get fucked every single day. Why should he be nice & kiss ass in a sport that will try to fuck you every way possible? The worst of all is Oscar who has always smiled in front of the cameras and fucked guys off camera. He'll kill you at the business table, he'll stab you in the back, he'll treat you like your garbage and he's the star but yet Floyd is the bad guy? Dont let that baby face ass whole fool you. Oscar is a much bigger jerk then Floyd. He doesnt do half the things in the community that Floyd does and he doesnt talk to the common man or sign half the autographs that Floyd does. If anyone is all about the money then its Oscar
Yeah Oscar has a bad reputation around boxing for firing a lot of his cornerman through 3rd parties and wonderful comments like the one had about defeating a big Harvard Jew.
He does do community work in East LA though.

See how when mayweather is fighting someone like oscar... all of a sudden mayweather is the "THUG"
but when mayweather was fighting JUDAH, the whole bad guy, THUG/BAD ATTITUDE was all Judah.... thats all larry merchant was talking about is judah's thug image.. street fighter mentality, his gold teeth, and how he spends his money on rims and stuff of that nature.... and all this mayweather stuff was out the door
but ehh, I guess thats boxing... good guy vs bad guy
:ugh:
I see what you are saying, but truthfully they both act that way, which is why they were such good friends before the fight. Judah is just a little more into it than Floyd. Judah is more 'street' than Floyd, so it comes out more with his actions and gestures and behavior.
Mayorga's actions in the HBO pre-fight were all bullshit. That dislike was hyped up quite a bit for the benefit of those making money off it. Anyway, I see what you're saying and I agree to an extent. Floyd is a product of his generation. That means, in some ways, he is more representative of the real world than most boxers are. That may sound odd but if youth today are fucked- materialistic to the extreme and always trying to run their mouth and be hard- then Floyd is more like those people than anyone else.
Yeah I agree with a lot of what you are saying. Mainly we just define our terms differently. Also I just tend to believe certain fighters really are creeps, such as Mayorga. Even though, I must say I like Mayorga as a fighter and attraction.
Mayorga disliked De La Hoya genuinely. Vargas did as well. Boxing has plenty of 'villains' because badasses are attracted to the sport. Mayorga said some extremely harsh things and they were not all fake. If they were, he would not have apologized to De La Hoya after the fight for what he had said.
Guarantee if he had won, he would not have uttered one apologetic word to Oscar.
I did not say Floyd is a villain, but he is more suited to that role than Oscar. His bizarre behavior is not seen in every person, although we should have compassion for every man given that we all fall short. In any case, all wrongs are not created equal. To me, materialism and thugishness are two of the worst problems for youth today. This = Floyd.
Mayweather is just as fake as anyone, in the sense that he places value in things that do not genuinely have value...money, cars, clothes, TALK. He does do good deeds, but mainly his image preceeds him, and he should try to work on that. It's his own fault. And no, Mayweather is not from the ghetto, and even if he was, that is no excuse to act like a thug.
i think mayweather is an dick-head....and i wonder if he has mental problems,
it does affect his "greatness" in the ring.....i mean talking bad about GBP and other promoters is not part of selling the fight is it ?

So Floyd Mayweather is a villain because he is materialistic and tries to sell fights by running his mouth? The "fakeness" you speak of is synonymous with boxing. Look at the pre-fight for these fights and tell me every boxer isn't hamming it up and being fake to draw people in and make more cash. Did you see the pre-fight for Mayorga-De la Hoya? With Ricardo's fake angry throw and Oscar's defiant stare? It was so scripted. Fake.
I agree that Oscar is ill suited to play the role of the villain, but don't buy that Floyd is a "bad guy". He is a flawed human being. Welcome to the club. Many of us have cheated on girlfriends, or lied to a friend, or done something we aren't proud of. That's life. He's got some serious flaws, I agree- but I'm too objective to lump him into the category of villain just because he runs his mouth to sell fights and has allowed money to make him materialistic.
Where as I can see you not wanting his personality to represent the sport his skills do. He's a product of the industry- brought up and raised in gloves. His flaws are quite similar to the flaws of boxing at this current time.

Floyd genuinely is a bad guy. The first signal of this is that he CHOSE to 'play' this role. Secondly, he emulates so many things that are wrong with the U.S. and the world...materialism, thugishness, and fakeness. These are all bad things to me. He also has an attitude problem.
He often has talked smack about his opponents and will continue to do so. He is no good guy. And if anyone had to be the 'bad' guy here, it was Floyd.

Some people are going to watch this and completely buy the hype- which is the point. That hype being "De la Hoya- Hero of boxing, Mayweather- Boxing's villain'. Like Floyd said in the video, the only thing I believe he said that was genuine, is that the fight couldn't have two good guys so he said, 'Fuck it' and decided to play the role of the villain. Too many people will buy it, though and fail to realize this is just a battle between two good boxers...not bad guy vs. good guy.
right but, floyd doesn't have to try too hard to be the bad guy it kinda flows natural
