if Manfredo gets dusted by Calzaghe (I'm talking knocked out or completely shut out on the cards) AND Pacquiao gets upset by Solis AND De La Hoya loses convincingly to Mayweather?
he will have left two of his projects to train the guy with the money and could end up with no projects at all. I'm of course pulling for Manfredo and Pacquiao, but if they get beat and Oscar goes down, he will look very bad indeed.

Roach will lose a lot of fighters.
I have to agree with Mr. Anorak that this doesn't make any sense. Manfredo is outclassed, plain and simple. If Oscar loses it will be because Floyd is a great fighter, not because Roach is a bad trainer.
Pacquaio should not lose. If he were to lose, then maybe we could talk about why.
I know what you mean and totally agree with this statement, but i do think its unfortunate and almost a bit in bad taste that Roach was compelled to ditch out on these fighters in order to train Oscar. As for Manfredo, ofcourse he is suppose to lose, but this is still the biggest fight of his carreer and a huge opportunity, and he will be without his trainer, which is not at all a good thing. I dont really blaim roach, but i still see it as an unfortunate turn of events.
And Roach is already down 1 with the Vasquez loss to Marquez.
Manfredo already loss. So you can put that on Roach right now if you want. Manny's fight is about 70% in Manny's favor. Oscar's fight is about 60% in Mayweather's favor. But you never know. Roach isn't training Manny for Solis, Manfredo sucks terribly, and Oscar losing to Floyd wouldn't be anything drastic.

I think it would make him look GOOD if Manfredo and PACMAN lose...
Cause they were both winning while freddy was with them, and as soon as he leaves they start losing...
Well u can excuse them all bar Oscar and Floyd and even then u can
make an argument..
1)Roach aint been with Manny
2) Roach aint been with old dodgy nose Manfredo
3) No trainer can help ODH beat Mayweather that one has to be given
a miss...
But it will look bad on his part though if all 3 fighters lose...
I like Pac and Oscars chances......I hope Manfredo does well but would'nt bank on it......I don't see why it would make Roach look so bad tho.....fighters lose sometimes it's that simple and has'nt he already done enough to be considered one of the better trainers out there either way..........
you mean how great will SRL be....i mean will the blame be on SRL ?
more importantly than the fact that Manfredo is expected to lose, (14-1 underdog) is that Freddie Roach isnt even training him.
If anyone will look bad it will be SRL, for talking all his smack.
Roach's fighters are going up against two of the top predators in their weight classes: Joe Calzaghe and Floyd Mayweather. Jorge Solis is a question mark ONLY because Pacquiao has been distracted by running for congress.
I can see Roach winning only 1 out of the three fights only coz Jorge Solis is nothing near the levels of Floyd or Joe.

I know there are plenty of people on here that dislike Calzaghe but why would it make Roach look bad if Manfredo get's beat? If Calzghe puts in a performance that he IS capable of then he would outclass Manfredo whoever was training him. I am not British by the way!!!
And the only way Pacman is getting beat is if he does not turn up!
