I've always thought the old version of George was more dangerous than the young. Then again, maybe that's because the division these days is weaker than it was. Nevertheless, the old George was a guy I'd duck. He was a man who recognized fear because he saw it in himself, it was no stranger to him. A man with vast ring intelligence and energy rationalization. And, he never used steroids. Young Foreman was better. Old Foreman was smarter and more relaxed, but young Foreman was a lot better physically. Old Foreman was also very selective in his opposition, and still struggled badly against Alex Stewart, Alex Schultz, Michael Moorer, and Tommy Morrison. Young Foreman would've killed those guys, and I'd make him a favorite over a 1991 Evander Holyfield.

He did almost beat Chris Byrd, not all that easy. Im not arguing that he's particuarly good but I wouldn't have thought he would get scraped by a shot Evander. he was a descent fighter years ago,,,,but I think the oquendo that holy fought was damaged goods. he was knocked out pretty viscously by ruiz,,,who isnt a big puncher

I agree with this. Holyfield at 44 would not be able to hang with top contenders at that time or this time. He did beat Fast Fres, but I think Fres Oqeundo might be damaged psychologicaly. oquendo sucks. for real. he was NEVER good.

Foreman was the champion in his 40's. Holyfield has heart, but he's fighting easy guys that he can surely beat even at this stage of his career.

Lets put it this way, Holyfield of today would get crushed by the 49 year old Foreman who "lost" to Briggs.

Foreman While Michael Moorer was nothing special, he still was nevertheless the heavyweight champion of the world and an elite HW at the time when a 45 year old Foreman stopped him. And I think a young Tommy Morrison would kick the crap out of today's Evander Holyfield.

Holyfield looks better athleticism wise but Foreman was a better and more effective fighter at that age due to his strength and chin.
