And he came in at 216 same weight as when he beat Buster .
You'd think if he was using all these roids he would still be picking up weight :ugh:
He was 208 against Douglas.
No doubts. Sultan will destroy Briggs before Holyfield can get to him, but of the current title holders as of March 18th 2007, Holy's best chance is against Briggs IMO.
I agree becuase of briggs severe lack of stamina. any fighter with durability and a descent work rate will be poison for evander. he cant fight at a brisk pace over the long haul anymore and will get worn out

I gotta admit Holyfield looked good. He moved smoothly and put his punches together well! He's in great shape for his age. I hope The Real Deal can climb back to the top as I'm not keen on the current crop of heavyweight champions but We'll have to wait until he actually fights someone worth a damn!! That Vinny Maddalone wasn't up to much if anything!!
 Holyfield can beat Briggs for sure. It's his only shot. Briggs or Maskaev.
Your post implies that Briggs will beat his mandatory in June. Having doubts about Sultan, Achilles?
I think if the "real deal" wants to be considered the "real deal" then maybe he should avenge some of his recent losses. Why not a rematch with Toney, Ruiz, or Donald?
I'll admit Holyfield did look really sharp last night but... he looked pretty damn sharp against Jeremy Bates too. Point is, although he's picking the right opponents for his comeback, he's not ready for a championship level fight just yet. I'd like to see him fight a top ten or twenty guy like Brock, Mccall, Krasniqi, or even a JCG before getting a title shot.
Vinny is nothing more and nothing less than a run of the mill club fighter. Holyfield even a 60 should not have a problem with bums like this, Give me a fucking break. Why all the fucking hype???
I think Holyfield has a chance against all the belt holders except Wlad. They should give Holyfield a shot at the title after maybe 1 or 2 more fights. I think he could do it against the right opponent.
That's a horrible matchup for Holy, man.
I'm starting to think the Toney that beat Jirov at cruiser would beat the Holy that knocked Qawi out. Toney is just a flat out master.
prime holyfield would have battered toney. people forget just how good holy was in his prime. toney would not have beat holy in his prime. no way,,,no how. hell rahman should have got the nod over toney
That's a horrible matchup for Holy, man.

But Qawi would have knocked out Jirov lol.
Holy did have a hell of a time with Q in the first fight and Toney didn't have all that easy of a time with J.
Don't know but it would be a good fight.
Please do not forget that JAMES TONEY knocked out Holy.
I dont think he could handle the power Briggs packs.

I agree it all comes down to the match up .
He prob is not going to beat Wlad any time soon but Briggs would be a good match for him at this time.
Holyfield prime VS Briggs prime = Holyfield KO or D
Holyfield Now Vs Briggs Now= Holyfield split
And no I wouldn't rule out a knockout for Briggs either, anything can happen but I think the match up is in Holys favor.
briggs is the only top guy I could see holy having a half way descent chance of winning just based on briggs stamina being so terrible. the other guys would wear holyfield down. holy just cant fight at a good sustained pace anymore over the long haul
everyone is going wayyy overboard here. maddalone is a human punching bag with 0 ability. do we forget a shot al cole beat this guy to a pulp in a one sided fight? sure evander looked good but he did have the perfect opponent right in front of him. put a top 10 guy like brock there and I think he loses in a one sided fight

Fellas, he hung with Oquendo who's at least a top 15 heavyweight. I know Oquendo hasn't got devastating power, but Holyfield is showing signs that he is getting better. We can only go by what we see.
oquendo was knocked out by light hitting john ruiz in his last big fight and many people thought oquendo should have got the nod over evander. I just cant see him beating a top 10 opponent. he doesnt have the stamina anymore
HGH does wonders I see.
Honestly I cant get the thought of the Toney and Donald fights out of my mind. How can he magically get better?
IS HGH DETECTABLE
What impressed me most was how coherent he sounded in the post fight interview. He beat a decent heavyweight, though a guy in Maddalone who should hang them up already. I think with 2 more fights, and wins, against top 15 opponents should get him a deserved shot against the 'big' boys.
