im leaning toward a decision for taylor coz hes big and a skillfull boxer and can dominate with his height and reach but this is not an easy fight for him.. im pretty sure that miranda will give him hell throughout the fight..
How many times did Winky punch thru the guard of Taylor and do damage? If Taylor trys blocking those rights from Miranda its bye bye time. Im a believer now in Mirandas power and he continues to improve where he needs to. He is a much better fighter than when I saw him fight Abraham. The only reason Green survivied that fight was because of his natural size. Dont forget he is a legit Super Middle and probably should be considered a legit light heavy. Miranda also appears to get to a lot of guys with his deceptively long reach. hooks that carry further, and his jab, that jab stretches out there for miles and is thrown with bad intentions to compliment the hardest right Ive seen at middle weight. He and Pavlik will also be a great fight.

would be a good fight, i see a late KO for taylor he has the power to do it and he is more skilled then miranda, but with a guy like him one flush punch could probally be the end no matter who u are
im a big pantera supporter, but taylor is in another level....ud for taylor id say....
and i dont wanna hear the name winky wright mixed up with those boys pavlik and miranda
the teacher is gonna spank them
IF Taylor decided to use his very very good jab he would outbox the shit out of Miranda keepin him offbalance with the double jab. Taylor would just have to survive the occasional rush from Miranda.
I think Miranda stops Taylor. There's a reason Dibella hasn't put JT in with any punchers & that's because his defense can be exploited by a puncher like Miranda. Miranda has shown he can take big punches from other fighters & still be dangerous & win. The only "puncher" that JT fought was Hopkins & he was holding on for dear life & turning his back on Hops when buzzed. If Miranda has him hurt he's going for the kill.
Jermain by UD. If Miranda keeps doing that lunging in shit he's gonna get put in check by a strong guy. Both fighters are flawed but I think Taylor could handle Miranda better. Taylor has to work on his defense though.
Taylor likes to back up into the corner....just where Miranda wants him to go. If Taylor stays off the ropes it's an easy win for him otherwise Miranda by KO.
This is just another case of people getting hyped up for a big puncher with marginal skill. If Green wouldn't have been so lazy and uninterested in the fight he could've made it a much better fight. Taylor, Hopkins, and Winky would damn near pitch a shutout against Miranda. If he fought all three, its possible he wouldn't land a single big right hand in all three fights combined. A good boxer beats a good puncher.
i would love to see miranda get DOMINATED by a guy like taylor. however, i also think that both winky and especially b-hops would make mirandas wild looping stupid pressure punches look worse than they looked against allan green when he would miss six in a row then get tagged. i think that taylor would beat him though. i just think that miranda runs around all crazy in the ring and has that fighters instinct, but is not technically sound at all. thats why i think the three best middleweight technicians would all beat him.
TAYLOR by UD possible KO, miranda might be even more flawed then ricardo mayorga, if allan green had actually tried to fight back he could have gotten a UD in my opinion
As much as I hate to say it, I'm gonna go with Taylor UD.
I just don't think that Miranda will find him with a big shot and if he does i think Taylor will manage to not go down. If Taylor uses his jab he will dominate Miranda but if he does as he has in his last fights he may have a rough time but i still think he would win either way.
Taylor would make what would appear to be easy work of Miranda, but Miranda could hurt him and turn it around late.
I say Taylor by five to seven points.
I think Miranda would stop Taylor as would have Green had it been a 12rd fight not 10 rounds. While it was a good fight it was not the banger we all expected.Green did not want engage it appeared after he felt Mirandas power early.......Green got cocky after he scored that KD and started to fight and we all saw what happened in the last round where Green barely survived.Oddly enough Miranda was winning rounds you would think Green could have taken with his slicker style but he simply could'nt take Mirandas relentess pressure......I doubt Taylor could either......Taylor has all he could handle with an aggressive Winky when they fought......Miranda is much stronger than Winky so I see Miranda catching Taylor and finishing sometime over a 12 round fight.Miranda is the Peoples Champ just like he claims IMO.
Both Edison Miranda and Jermain Taylor are flawed fighters. But they make the perfect opponets for one another. Miranda the dangerous power puncher and Taylor, the slick boxer.
I would be on Edison Miranda to KO Jermain Taylor in the late rounds. Taylor has a tendency to be overly cautious every now and again in the ring, he did it against Hopkins, he did it against Wright and on occasion he did it against Ouma, letting Ouma back him down all night long.
I think Taylor is damn good fighter but I don't know if he can take the kind of punch Edison Miranda can dish out. He certainly hasn't fought anyone who hits like Miranda yet.
Miranda has his weaknesses as well, Allan Green knocked him down in the 8th and had his fair share of moments against Miranda. Arthur Abraham was able to defeat Miranda even with a broken jaw. It would be a damn good fight of 2 very good, yet flawed fighters with contrasting styles. I'd give a very slight edge to Edison Miranda, for his power if nothing more.
