Let me tell you, Mayweather is a cool ass dude. I went in there hating him and loving DLH, and left with the roles reversed. I got mad pics, I'll upload them tonight via Jefe De Jefes, who was there with me also.

Fuck it, I just hope De La Hoya will win. He has plenty of advantages. I think some of you have convinced yourselves that Oscar is a little more aged than he really is. Floyd is very good but not on Pernell's level in my opinion. I slightly favor Floyd to win due to superior ability to box...but Oscar has enough skills that warrant him a 2nd thought when it comes to betting.
Your statement is true but the DLH vs Tito fight was damn near 10 years ago when DLH was in his prime (1999 I believe). He was about 26 or 27 years old then & was an ACTIVE welterweight. He's 34 now, not really that active, & has been as high as 160 lbs. Even in the Mayorga fight you can tell DLH isn't the same at all. His hand speed & foot speed have slowed tremendously. He showed that he still has good power, but Mayorga was able to hit him often which he never would've been hit with those kind of punches 8 years ago. A fighter with the hand & foot speed of Mayweather is going to give DLH all types of hell. If Sweet Pea gave DLH hell when DLH was in his prime, he's in alot trouble against a PRIME Mayweather. Now if this was the DLH from 8 years ago that Mayweather's fighting, it would be a completely different story.
the difference here is that sweet pea was not naturally 10 pounds lighter and could better take the punch of someone with oscars power and could better match oscars strenght if not his power.
For once I think he looked nervously overwhelmed by an opponents tactics.Dont know if it had anything to with that.
next time he tries to sell us a "barrera v Fana" kind of ppv we should all get overwhelmed and mot buy it .............
For once I think he looked nervously overwhelmed by an opponents tactics.Dont know if it had anything to with that.
Maybe it's because he's too big a star, I didn't see him overwhelmed at all.
soo pissed he did not talk to the fans at all......................

Oh by the way. Those who don't know Spanish Oscar said in Spanish, "Come May 5th I'm gonna beat this snot nose kid's ass". He looks genuinely pissed to.

Floyd may act like an obnoxious clown, but I agree with one thing he said.
"I'm not going to sit up there and give you the same old boring interview".
Almost every time I hear Oscar speak in public, it's basically some rehearsed speech.
From b-talk.
They're just talking shit to hype up the fight. Floyd's trying to piss Oscar off and trying to make Oscar look stupid. I think with the offense defense, he's saying Oscar has no defense and he has both. I wouldn't take everything they do and say seriously.
Floyd just gets under my skin but what you said is 100% correct.
Here are some more quotes.
When asked about his trash talking, Mayweather said "It's about selling the fight, so it's really about having fun."
"A one hand willy could never beat a Pretty Boy Floyd."
my bad dog, I assumed we were all talking about the Delahoya-Mayweather presser.:hail:
Sorry for snapping on you :(
I just got back from work and my boss made me stay 15 mins extra and I was pissed.
nice comparison. you failed to to point out the boxing lesson dlh administered to trinidad regardless of how the judges thought dlh should have fought. what you have is the best defensive fighter with the fastest hands and best footwork facing a 6 division champion who will hit him harder than hes ever been hit, is much bigger and stronger and seems to have the motivation he has sometimes lacked in previous fights. if size and power were equal floyd would eazily beat oscar, maybe ko him, but thats not the case. as far as not winning big fights, you dont earn titles in 6 divisions by fighting little fights. they both have the chance to beat the other its just a matter of how the fight unfolds. oscar has faced fighters close to what floyd brings to the table, floyd has never fought anyone close to what dlh brings to the table. i believe the power floyd will be facing will be too much to overcome. oscar by ko middle to late rounds.

Let me point out in the conference he showed no class what so ever. Delahoya sat down and listened to what he had to say but when Oscar got up to talk he was running around like little kid.
Also he said a hot offense beats a cold defense. Isnt he the defensive fighter and Oscar the offensive fighter?
The other guy that got up to talk before Floyd said Floyd is gonna beat his ass and before that he said he isnt gonna find Floyd. Dont you have to be there to beat someones ass?
Dont now why I find all kinds of shit wrong with this dude.
They're just talking shit to hype up the fight. Floyd's trying to piss Oscar off and trying to make Oscar look stupid. I think with the offense defense, he's saying Oscar has no defense and he has both. I wouldn't take everything they do and say seriously.
C'mon, do I have to break it down very slowly?
Alright, let's walk through this together. You said:
"The other guy that got up to talk before Floyd said Floyd is gonna beat his ass and before that he said he isnt gonna find Floyd. Dont you have to be there to beat someones ass?"
I said:
"Against Gatti, Mayweather both beat his ass while maintaining an air-tight defense."
That was an instance of Mayweather getting in and out while being effective offensively and defensively. Does that satisfy your inquiry?

So you are saying this will be like that fight?
How bout similair?
close?
