You're kidding, right? Tszyu was one of the hardest hitters ever at that weight, especially with the right hand. A regular wrecking ball. Cotto is OK but nothing special overall....

Tzu has that power straight right thats got that fast Jackson/Hearns pop. Cotto has that Foreman/Duran heavy handed punch that doesn't do as much initial damage but stays with you longer and does more damage. Even when Cotto seems to just be pity patting guys it does more damage than you think. Cotto destroyed guys faces and bodies. However like I said Cotto doesn't have that true 1 punch KO power that Tzu had. Hard to quantify, however I think Cotto like Duran would not be someone you should take consecutive punches from.

With 1 punch.....Tszyu. Because Cotto's left hook to the body is really devistating, but if you thought about which punch really is the ugly one....I'd say straight right. Tszyu's right hand was so hard it neutralized guys coming forward. It didn't really matter who it was it stopped them from taking advantage of him like Phillips did. Cotto's punches usually have more so an accumulative effect. Especially those left hooks to the body. Those break people in half. Tszyu could put you out with 1 punch if he caught you not looking. Even catching you looking(see Zab Judah). I'd say for pure 1 punch power it would be Tszyu, though Cotto will put you out if you can't compete with him and punch equally back for the fight. It's like, if you can't hit as hard as Cotto or connect as much as him, you'll eventually cave in. When I watched the Quintana fight with Cotto, I think it was in the 2nd round that I knew it wouldn't be long before Quintana would break. He wasn't landing as flush as Cotto nor as much, and Cotto's punches eventually stop you in the long run. :owned:

i'd have to say Tszyu.........usually if he hit you once or twice with his right, you went down!...Cotto is improving at the moment, but Cotto is more of a "wear you down" fighter, where he'll just keep hitting and hitting and each of his punches will have an affect on you!.. Kostya Tszyu was a deadlier puncher than Cotto ever will be. Look at Tszyu back before he won the title..he was a force, even then. Cotto is a very, very heavy-handed guy, whose left hook to the body is devastating. But, Tszyu was far more likely to get you out of there with one shot, or just a handful of blows.

Cotto hurts u where ever he hits u, he is a thudding bone crunching type of puncher! Tzsyu Sparked u if he landed the right properlly. Different types of punchers, but if they fought id back Cotto :boxing:

as much as i like cotto.........i still believe that he wears down fighters a lot more who try to go toe to toe with him.......i think smart fighters can take him the 12, its just silly fighters who try and mix it up with him,,,crazy mofos man, but credit to malignaggi man, he has a feather fist but still tried to mix it with him...

Cotto causes more damage (look at Malgnaggi's face!) but Tszyu's straight right is more of a knockout punch. It's as though Tszyu is using a snipers rifle and cotto uses shotguns.

you gotta try each one of them to know :D but i think if they ever fought Tszyu would win by KO he is effective with his punch and couter punch and usually couterpunch hurt alot more because punch that you dont expect much are the punchs that going to KO
