i wasnt too keen on miguel cotto untill recently,he has changed my mind about him in his last performances though, hes a fuckin beast
i didnt like my little manc friend ricky hatton untill towards the end of this year but for some reason hes changed my mind aswell, not basing all of it on the urango fight though, but he did show some boxing skill i didnt think he had in that fight
i dont like joe, simply because he gets to much credit, he does 1 great fight and gets treated like he is ali and that lacy was tyson...this was not that big a fight in my mind, i thot jeff was very over rated but i thot(hoped) he would knock joe out, simply because i dont like joe or how he fights, then he goes back to his old ways of, backing out of fights because of an injury, and then goin on to put on a shit show against another guy with about 20-25 fights
The main one for me was Calzaghe, ive seen alot of his fights but never thought we would see that kind of performance from him.I was beginning to think we wouldn't see him in a superfight but he delivered big time.
Manny Pacquiao also deserves a mention.Like Calzaghe i always thought he was good but he stepped it up a level last year.
De La Hoya for proving he still has the hunger for the game with his performance against Mayorga.
Guzman, Malignaggi, Reggie Strickland.
lol reggie strickland.. i dunno which ones worse reggie strickland being 66-276 or what looks to be his brother (also from cincinnati) ed strickland 0-30.. allllll by knockout
andre berto, vic darchinyan, Maskaev for being the first asian to win the heavyweight title :D
why is maskaev considered asian but not wladimir or vitali klitschko who both won the title before him?
Above all it's Calzaghe!!! How many knew he was THAT good?
Then 2006 was:
Pac's emergence as a top 3 or 4 star
Wlad's regaining the reign at HW
and:
Vanes
Abraham
Sam Peter growing up
