At Welter Shane Mosely easily. At 154 Vargas who's naturally a big strong guy couldn't bully Mosely in their 2 fights like he said he was going to do. Also Joshua Clottey should be mentioned as well. He was able to stand in front of Marg & not be man handled. At 140 Hatton is very strong as well as Juan Urango. That's why I think Hatton will struggle early against him because of that physical strength. Examples of guys that are physically strong but aren't huge punchers are Winky Wright & Ike Quartey.
At 140 I gotta go with Hatton. He is a bull. Physical strength has nothing to do with how cut you look.
At 147 it's gotta be Margarito or Cotto. Both of these guys are animals.
I have seen hulks in the gym be pushed around by bean poles. Physique has nothing to do with boxing period in strength or skills.
My vote for 147lbs is Cotto based on him just looking like a tank and the way he throws his sledge hammer hooks. They look so painful. He also is known for tossing opponents around with ease. Did it to Quintana and Torres. At 140lbs, I may have to say Hatton though this Saturday will officially decide it. I'm not jumping no gun either over this Urango guy until the fight Saturday. I saw him once and thought he was really sloppy and slow. I think Hatton should win this if he really is physically stronger, otherwise Hatton will be in for a rough night though I don't think he'll lose.
At 140 I'd go for Hatton, then Urango.
Hatton has muscled around some very strong guys, notably Tszyu & Maussa, & Urango also very strong - looks like a junior-middle.
Welter I'd say a toss-up between Cotto & Margarito, followed by Paul Williams, Shane Mosley, & Cintron.
Mosley very strong, but generally relies on his speed;
Williams bloody enormous for a welter, looks like a big middleweight, but would still favour Margarito or Cotto over him in a shoving match.
I read the first 2 pages but so far nobody has mentioned Shane Mosley. Shane by far is one of the strongest Welterweights around. I realize he's been at 154 for awhile but at 147 , Shane is an ox.
that who i was gon bring up, glad you caught that shit son

Look at how Mitchell is built. That implies strength, he's a big man for a little guy and that's why they gave him that nickname.
Regarding his nickname, he said, "Ring Magazine did an article on me when I was in college. At the time I was going to the University of Maryland. I think I was probably the only thing going on at the university then, the basketball team was nothing, the football team was always nothing until a few years ago. They called me the 'Little Big Man on Campus.' It just stuck with me."

Come on...Malignaggi looks bigger in every way in that photo...but he's nowhere NEAR as strong as Miguel Cotto.
Who is stronger run?

Bad example, considering both Cotto and Malignaggi have around the same amount of muscle mass. I'd say Cotto is stronger based on what I've seen from fights.
FYI Malignaggi is flexing his chest in that photo and Cotto is slumped.

The strongest guy in a boxing match is the one who can push the other around. What they lift at the gym, how big each guys muscles are etc. means nothing. all that matters is who has the physical capability to move the other in the clinches when both are trying.
Foreman was known for being super strong because the way he moved guys in the clinches. That's not mentality, that's Foreman being blessed with dense muscles and strong tendons and ligaments which enabled him to move guys his size around with ease because they lacked his anatomical gifts.
You just don't get it.

Who is stronger Run? Based on the "size of the muscles" and yadda yadda. Unless you interpreted this thread as, "who could curl 40 pound weights more times" I just can't see how you don't get it.
