some people have weird fears.
u got the greatest fighter ever sugar ray robinson who would fight just about anyone (maybe not charley burley, i think he would've if the $ was right), but scared to ride an elevator.
youd probably be scared to ride them too if the first one you ever got on in your life happened to be a glass backed- located on the empire state building
i've heard that these big time boxers run 60 miles a min and they can bench 380 .. swim 2 lengths of the pool in a nano second ...
the book tends to be a little more to the truth than what we hear the fighters blabbing about they just dont wanna have to come out and say what kinda juice they're on that makes there bodys as fit as they are
This book is full of shit. You can buy Roy Jones' training dvd and see that his previous and current workouts are completely different from this.
Which one? Heart of a Champion?
i bought that one expecting to see some really cool workouts, but 3/4 of the dvd was people talking about how great roy is.
the training segments were good, they should've had more of it.
Roy also had another ESPN special covering his training for the Ruiz fight.
Hatton scared of cats!

i dunno know if tyson was intimidated by lewis and holyfield (rematch), he seemed like it....how is a man who wrestles with tigers going to be scared of another man?
This book is full of shit. You can buy Roy Jones' training dvd and see that his previous and current workouts are completely different from this. You can also go to Kostya Tszyu's website and look at all his training pics, or buy his fitness book and all of his training is different from that.
yeah really...comming from a guy who opened up the thread time after time and probably read every training post that was made...
oh and he owns the book too ... so wow he MUST be a peasent ..has to be
Don't buy this book, it's a terrible read, no detailed workout regimens described in there, and frankly half of them were probably made up. I really regret buying it. This could be an ok book for a peasant with some reading skills but not for any self-respecting individual who knows how to keep in shape. Thaks for reading!
LOL..:D:D:D
yeah i figured it was a hell of a book and if you read further into it it explains how to do the floor exercises to a T ...
this guy is just a know it all that i lost intrest in arguing with ...glad to see someone gettin my back on this case though! thanks bro
As a boxer myself, I disagree with pesticid. I think this book is very useful. It may not give enough detail with respect to floor workouts and explaining them, but it does give detail for how many rounds/minutes these guys shadowboxed, sparred, hit the bag, ran, and so on. The diets could bemore detailed but that's not hard to find on your own.
The main thing that this book is good for, is it helps boxers vary their training regimen to keep things interesting.
usually i get itchy with jack of all trades i think its city liveing you know growing up in a city like flint , detriot chicago LA ..any bigger city you just tend to have an attitude agianst know it all types or anyone that comes off like one even if they arent totally ... know what i mean?
its not disrespecting me its comming off as a complete and utter know it all which you cant appologize for because like the phrase goes "you are what you eat"
Joey why dont u just keep posting ur shit and quit being a dickface I was trying to see their workouts and you fucked up the post by bitchin and cryin just because ole dude said he didnt like the book he wasnt even being disrespectful and you've posted more dickhead comments now that workouts
