So Cotto has one leg, Kermit the otherone, and Collazo ready for his slice of the pie and let's not count Quintana out....This is a golden era of WW for Puerto Rico....By this time next year a good chance that 3 Boricuas be holding 3 slices of the 147 pie and one more on the making possibly PBF v. Cotto....que rico!!!!
You don't have to be Miranda to beat these guys.
Collazo - Robbed over a bogus knockdown (he scored a knock down that wasn't counted). Didn't get a thank you, or rematch.
Cintron - knocked out by Margarito in 5th round or whenever, cried.
Quintana - look at Boricuas avatar
Jose Rivera - pushed back a whole year, didn't get a fight he wanted instead hes gonna face a guy I'm sure they'd love to upset him.
Daniel Santos - he stood and fought Margarito , gave people a good fight, sent to Germeny where he was robbed never heard of again.
Point is these guys aren't asurred a future in boxing...
So you are saying that they are not going to let us rule the divison...maybe...who knows...
Now, if you been watching boxing and understanding the game as you should, you should know that the Kermit that cried against Margo, is excersising his demons and eventually will need to address Margo square on, maybe after he disposes of SSM.
Collazo go robbed no doubt, he onwed Hatton and yes the KD was not accounted for, and the flash KD was a fluke...he should have won that fight at least a draw,,
Torrez-another that showed he got heavy hands stand toe to toe with Cotto, and he has not had a good fight since then...
It always happen in boxing...hell you can go back in history and see this happening...hell who can forget Mantequilla Napoles getting denied of the title shot until he was nearly 30 years old....dude is the way the damm sport operates....
collazo did not have a big backing from the puerto rican community until the fight with hatton. he stepped up big time, and now i think he got some respect. theres no let down with him. he was hoping to get the mosely fight but mosely's team chose to stay against the slick southpaw.
all these guys mentioned are definately representing and lets just hope we can look forward to a good year in boxing in 2007.

I agree I am parnoid, next time they robb a Puerto Rican I want to see a chair fly to somebodys face. Trinidad, what supposely our greatest boxer left boxing in tears, thats fucked up. Jose dropped out, which m,ade the 7th drop out in a row for main events involing a Puerto Rican, but tonight there subbed Ramierz who they highlighted as beating El Pollo up. I feel he took a dive because he just layed himself on the floor, the guy was knocked out to somebody who should or was gonna be a Jose Cotto victim. In the Cotto forum I said looking bad against Jose would make Pollo look bad, well this looks bad to Pollo.
Huerta was just too strong. I've seen Huerta when he upset Rolando Reyes who fought Jose Luis Castillo. Huerta was just too strong. And i belive this was at lightweight. Ramierez has been around for a long time and has been at jr. lightweight and Huerta is the fresher younger fighter.
pr had a good year overall. but taking over in 2007 is pushing it a bit. the return of zab, mosley coming down, clottey will definately be trying to get back on the winning side, paul williams finally getting his shot, and if you say he is untested so are quintana and cintron. oh yea they got completely destroyed when they stepped up the comp. williams wont be bullied. plus who knows what pbf will be doing. can i even through vivian harris in the mix? not looking good for pr.
Of course, cause Mexicans know what they are doing, thats why that Mexican confessed his list of 2007 which included defeating Miguel, because seeing Cotto goes down benifits our rivals, Mexicans. Telefutura has turned nasty ever since Pacman defeated Morales which could be because they sense Mexican boxing in trouble and if you watch and pay attention you'd probaly noticed a change too.
Did you see tonights telefutra card? Good fights. Both Mexicans won. :boxing: And Rios is from Oxnard he does't have the power i thought he had but he can really fight, just needs to work on how to break down a fighter but i think he will get a title shot in the future.
edit: and i think you may beinng paranoid, but i'll look into it. We got a lot of fighters still in the mix.

Puerto Rico - 3,912,054

Plus we dance better...
Come on now we don't all box. Plus, if we did, we'd run almost all the divisions in boxing.
And chales we dance better. Pon le las rancheras or some banda and its on the dance floor with a firme hina, dancing all night long.
One division. Mexicans we've taken hostage 3 somtimes 4 divisions at a time. Margarito is going to have to go through a lot of Puerto Rican in the coming year. And iwatchboxing is right in a way. Instead of you guys owning each title they pit you guys against each other.
Berto would beat Quintana, Kermit and probaly Collazo...there goes the naborhood. Williams who knows, but I know he would of beaten Margarito. If you can think of a bad match up for us it will be made, because we get matched to lose, not to win, you seem to think that Puerto Ricans have been making noise in boxing, or like Collazo-Quintana havent dropped down the rankings like a rock in the water. LOL
On what you base you flawed predictions...Berto is a good upcoming prospect...that it...dude I know you know more boxing than jsut getting cought up on the one fight.....with Berto......I tell you what Berto is no Miranda...:boxing:
Bro, you can put Williams and Berto down, but they are serious. Williams would have token care of Margarito, shit Collazo and Quintana could of gotten rid of Margarito, but now that job runs to Cotto. Collazo and Quintana suffered major set backs, their in la la land and who knows if they'll be 100 percent or have the same backing behind them they did before. Right now we got Cintron who has come to be the Puerto Rican joke behind Mexican bragging rights, and Miguel. Berto is a serious threat hes a major prospect for a reason dont under estimate him..
Berto can punch no doubt, but there's far more than punching on boxing and he does not have devastating power to the level of a Cotto say...Berto will end up at 154 in another year nayway, to big...
Williams, please read the post previous to this one...Willimas is untested bro...and if you said otherwise you are fooling yourself...
Collazo ..has not shoot himslef on any foot hell he won his last fight....
BTW ...for those crowning Cotto as the best PR ever..he has ways to go and don;t forget that PR put guys like Carlos Ortiz, Wilfred, Vita de Jesus, Samule Serrano, El Chapo, etc...and
Tito... so he has a good start but plenty to travel yet
See, nothing in there says we'er gonna own 147. While Cotto is fighting Margarito, whoever shows his face will have to deal with Andre Berto, Paul Williams, and Floyd/Hatton/Castillo might even come to the divsion. Where we could of manuvers to key spots in favor of us, now we will get the shit of the deal.
Dude...the fact that you mentioned Berto, let me know that you don;t know what time it is holmes....
Berto- good prospect, nothing more than that at this point, he get hit square on the face to many times for my taste...get him with a top rank WW and he will be eaten alive...I bet you were one of the ones that jump on Julios bandwagon...shit....
Paul Williams: what about him......he is yet to fight a top fighter at 147....please he fight with his chin in the air and the way he likes to mix it up it won;t be long unitl someone fights that chin and then we will see what is he made off...
PBF....the hit and run man..hell he has not stayed to fight at one weight more than 3 times since he jump to JRWW...Cotto could give him everything could handle and maybe more...ODLH that fight is a farse....
Castillo- we will see how he takes a 147 punch, hell Arguello , twice the fighter that Castillo is pupp out at 140 when he hit the Pryor wall...
Hatton-he knew better than try it again at 147 and did the smart thing getting his ass back to 140....and Urango is not a push over...
Please dude don't talk just for talking....I been on this game for along time....
Yeah i dont think Cintron has much chance against Mosley. But im all for the Puerto Rican fighters. Cottos gonna go down as possibly the best ever.
no way is Cotto gonna be better than Tito. Tito beat three Gold Metalist and not just any gold metalists, Whitaker, De La Hoya (billed as fight of the century), and Reid. Also had a superfight with Vargas, moved up and DESTROYED the second best middleweight, then finally lost to not only one of the best middleweights of all time, but the future light heavyweight champion Bernard Hopkins. Plus, Tito was killing people with those power shots. Cotto is going to have to beat Mosley, Mayweather, Cory Spinks, WInky Wright and Edison Miranda, then fight Jermain Taylor to equal what Tito did.
Early 2006 was very strong, than late everything was fucked up, its true their not done, but they can freeze them out like they have been doing to Jose and Collazo. Next time you hear about Quintana will be by the end of the next year. One by one they are gonna go down the tube...
Collazo won by TKO in the 6th against Atadzhanov,a tough Uzbec....a la Abdulaev...BTW he never fought Cotto....
Quitana will fight again until late 2007, anyway he needed time to get his body in healing mode before goig back to the gym...Jose is gone to 154 anyway.....Kermit will win against SSM....that;s my prdiction on that...and Cotto will be lined up for Margo in June...and ready for PBF early 2008...so I don;t understand your logic or point...
Damn bro, your LATE. That were true but instead of capitalizing it, Cotto destoryed Quintana, Rivera got pushed back a whole year, Collazo fought with Cotto on steroids and is pushed back down in rank on untelevised cards, Telefutura gone crazy on PR's ass, now the only thing we own is Kermit Cintron who cried against Margarito :D
and Cintron is gonna get wiped off by Mosley in Feb.

Not so quick bro....Quintana is not done, to much talent and skills....Collazo will hold a belt before the end of 2007 guarantee...Kermit is not the same Kermit that borke down against Margo...and Margo is not the big bad wolf...which I notice he was not for 7 rounds against Lujan and 4 against Clottey...I like Margo...but his defensive skills will betrayed him....Rivera willb e on the mix, but IMO he is not at the top of this class...
