i find it REALLY hard to respect anything ATNAN says because of his round by round. Anyone else read it. It was like he had never scored a fight... HendrixLove and Ferocity, Do urselves a favor and stop arguing with this guy. He doesnt know anything AT ALL i know one thing for certain, margarito didnt land one clean power punch the entire fight, and thats all that matters!

If Margarito stands right in front of Cotto and throws slow ass punches his ass will get knocked down at least some point in the fight. I'd be suprised if Margarito beat Cotto, not Paul "no defense" Williams.

Basicly all the hating came from Berstein. He reminds me of a young Max Kellerman. Thats why i wish, Showtime could bring back their aces, Bobby Cyz and Freddy Pacheco. Or at least bring back Bobby Cyz. Bobby Cyz would have been a lot better anaylist to anaylize Margarito since he's seen him fight before and as a fighter he sees a lot more then what a non fighter like Berstein could see. All i know is Margarito proved to me, that he is the best Welterweight and will be the King of the welterweights for some time. If you didn't see any flaws in Cottos performance then you should watch the fight again. Twice Cotto got hurt by Quintannas body shots. And Cotto may have landed a thousand clean punchs on Quintanna but none did the damage the body shot did, even then it wasn't the body shot that ended the fight it was Quintanna who didn't want to continue the fight, against his corners wishs. As i've said in the past, and i'll say it again. "Then Legend that is Antonio Margarito!" He may not be the most sound technical fighter, or the hardest puncher but he will attack non-stop. And if he has to he'll yell at you to stop running and fight him. Margarito proved a lot to me on Saturday, with all the hate he was getting, is getting, i was assured that Margarito has what it takes to be the main guy at welterweight. i respect you my brother and i understand what your saying! whats reall funni is how the entire broadcast team ( that was PRO-Margarito) were saying, " margarito`s face is bright pink right about now from the punches clottey is landing" and they said it 4 times.....LOL also the same Pro-Margarito broadcast team said, " margarito got reallly lucky this time that clottey got injured, or the fight would not be the way were seeing it now"...thats gotta be the most degrading thing ive heard from all of saturday night ( the 4 fights that i did the pbp for)....so when u talk about some guy that`s probably a margarito nuthugger like you two dirt bags, we got the whole fucking broadcast team dissing their fighter! I think you guys use the word "exposed" wayyy to much on these forums. Clottey is a world-class fighter whose style would be best suited for a mover. Margarito isn't a mover. It's unfortunate that Clottey had the incident with his hand as it could have been a different fight. But that's boxing. It happens.

This is what Doug from maxboxing.com said about Margarito in his mailbag. You note that Margarito “loops his punches, squares up when coming forward, and leans forward off balance when punching”. While I’ve never thought of or touted him as the Mexican Donald Curry in terms of his technique, I also noticed that his form was sloppier than usual vs. Clottey. I think a lot of that had to do with entering the Clottey fight with a badly sprained ankle. I notice that he didn’t have any lateral movement and couldn’t help but lift his right foot off the canvas every time he threw his right hand. It was obvious to me that he was afraid to pivot his right foot for fear of hurting and already tender ankle. You think his punches vs. Clottey were “ineffective”. I think many of them were, but enough got through Clottey’s tight defense to not only score points but hurt the tough Ghanaian. You think he never hurt Clottey. I saw Clottey’s face up close after the fight. I saw the bloodshot eyes. I saw the way he walked hunched over because of sore ribs. I’ve been covering boxing for 11 years and I think I know when a fighter is in pain from punches he absorbed over a hard 12-round fight. But who knows? I was not impressed with Margarito at all. it was his first fight that I watched and I had heard a lot of hype about him. his foot work was horrible. punching seemed sloppy. he hops into his punches. wtf?! He got that from Hopkins and Jones Jr., then Mora got that from Margarito.
