Right...except De La Hoya doesn't tell people that he's better than Sugar Ray Robinson and Muhammad Ali before he even hit the age of 30.well, while i do agree that those fighters should get repsect for their accomplishments, i don't see why floyd saying he's better makes him an asshole. i'm pretty sure he's in the sport to be the best fighter ever. now, many of you may not agree with him, but hey, that;s your right. so what if he says he's better than ali and robinson which i never heard him actually say but he probably did. floyd has made no secrets about him being the truth in boxing. hell, if i was in his position i'd call myself the best of all time because that's a confidence factor more than a cocky one.
so, floyd says he's great and has every right to say it. he's proven it time and time again also. the man i still undefeated and has the style to be the greatest fighter of all time at least for right now anyways. but,we all have different opinions and floyd has the right to have an opinion as well as you and me. many on here may dispise floyd but that's fine, because i'm sure he feeds off of negative energy and foucuses more on his fans rather than his detractors.
To be honest I dont like The Golden Boy, I want PBF 2 win regardless Im tired of all this shit that you guys say about the man floyd its like your condeming him to to hell or something..Haha like you're so Saintly and all this bullshit like reading mr.Soprano's biased post, haha Italians mafiosa (soprano) used 2 beat their wifes order hits and bring heroin over 2 america and sold them in pizza store fronts and Mr soprano doesnt like that floyd slapped his wife around alittle you know how ridiculous you sound buddy....
Also because Hopkins took the Puerto Rican and threw it on the ground. He was the bad guy going into the fight I believe. Mayweather will take that role in this fight I think.
I dont think hes gonna take that role, its too hard, the fued with his dad doesnt exactly let him dictate his role in this fight.
he is great and isn't afraid to tell you he is great.
Right...except De La Hoya doesn't tell people that he's better than Sugar Ray Robinson and Muhammad Ali before he even hit the age of 30.
I dont think that would be so, remember the hopkins before the Trinidad fight? not many people liked him
Also because Hopkins took the Puerto Rican flag and threw it on the ground. He was the bad guy going into the fight I believe. Mayweather will take that role in this fight I think.
Anybody can accuse somebody of "rape", doesn't mean it is true.
It's crazy to think that someone (like a women) can say they were hit by a boxer, yet have no marks, wouldn't you say?
Oscar hits harder than Tito...A Punch that you know is coming hurts more than a punch that cought you of guard, Titos punch was twice to the same side of the face Oscars was a one two three on both sides of the face. Those are big differences!
Anybody can accuse somebody of "rape", doesn't mean it is true.

I completely agree with that. It makes no sense what so ever.
if you want to dig on DHL you will find thing that he done like the rape thing. as well as the assulte on his girlfriend was droped as she said he didnt do it.
IMO DHL is more of a politican than a fighter, even if he is been beaten badly by Mayweather he would secure the judges the guy is one of the most powerful guy in boxing politis. before the whitaker fight he said that he is going to win because he is the younger and will bring more money. and in the Mayorga fight i feel there is something wrong with that fight when i seen a slow motion gif. Mayorga took Tito shots but couldnt take oscar's shot after comeback from retirment for longer thim than tito.

Never like De La Hoya, I feel he made his money beating up on smaller opponents...
...Come fight night Mayweather will show all you haters why he is the next best thing to Ali...!!!
Look at Mayweather's resume, then look at Ali's, it doesn't compare...and don't give me some arguement that Ali had losses and Mayweather doesn't because Ali after his exile wasn't the same fighter, which makes it all the better in how he was able to win.
I honestly really like both fighters. I must root for PBF in this one however. I enjoy his style more. I think it is fantastic to watch a man be able to land at will and barely be hit himself. I admitt, I will be disappointed for DHL if he looses since I am sure he plans to go out on top with a victory over PBF. It is such a hard choice because I like them both. That is why I have been looking forward to this fight so much.
I don't really think that everyone that chooses to root for DHL is just a PBF hater. That makes no sense since DHL has been around longer and is one of the most loved in the sport. Of course some people are just haters, but that is how it always is.
So...do you guys want your choice to win because you like them, or because you dislike the other guy that much?i do not hate de la hoya at all. i respect the man's accomplishments in the sport of boxing. he is a class act, shows respect for his opponents, and his energy in the ring is fun to watch. i, however, never was a huge fan of his. he just wasn't my top of boxer to like. hey, that's not saying that the guy wasn't fantastic in the ring because he was, but floyd is just the top of fighter whose style is supposed to keep him unbeaten imo. i love his fighting style from his defense to his accuracy and amazing timing. this includes his speed and decent power as well. now, what i like most about his style is his counter shots, which he will do a lot against oscar. they are timed magnificantly and are a strong asset to his success in the ring. also, another reason why i love his style is because of how he trains and how long he trains. say what you want about the man, he is always prepared well for a fight. he doesn't bullshit in the gym, and i share those same values. yes, he comes from a fighting family which helps, but just lie he says a lot, they can't get in the ring and fight for him, and he trains so hard for all of his fights. he's always in tip-top shape and conditioned well. all of these attributes i love about floyd. he's a well rounded fighter. does he have a knock power like a mike tyson in his prime or a david tua or george foreman or ray leonard, or rocky marciano, or tommy hearns, no but he is a smart fighter, and that's his best trait, his mindset going into his fights, which i respect more than any other thing. he has extrememly quick reflexis and of course quick hands which also goes back to how he trains in the gym for a fight. he spars with junior middleweight fighters which is smart as well. i mean, the guy has everything it takes imo to be the best fighter of all time. this is why i root for him.
i don't care about his outside life. i don't root for that. i root for the fighter in the ring, not the fighter who hits his wife which if you ask me is irrelevant when it comes to boxing. the man's no angel but who are we to judge him for his outside ventures. he's not my role model outside the ring, but he is my favorite fighter inside the ring, because of his personality in the ring. i never heard him claim to be a role model, but i do understand that kids want to be like him, so i do understand the criticism he recieves for his actions knwoing that children look up to him, but nonetheless, it's still outside business. he's not perfect, by no means. he can be an asshole. he is cocky(of course for good reason), he has disrespected legendary fighters. all of this has nothing to do with how he fights. i actually like to see him fight more when he is hated, because he feed of it and performs through it well. i don't care who boos or cheers him, when he fights, i know he focuses on the person in front of him. that's the only thing that matters. yes, he has said things to commentators and his opponents's trainers and has made faces at his opponent, but even doing all this, he is focused on the task at hand. and the fact thta he can fight well in the face adversity says a lot about his character as a fighter.
all of this is why i cheer for floyd mayweather jr, and i like i've said in the past and will say in the future as will floyd, he will defeat oscar de la hoya come may 5, 2007. there's no other way to look at it.
Who will you root for... Mayweather / De La Hoya
Never like De La Hoya, I feel he made his money beating up on smaller opponents...
...Come fight night Mayweather will show all you haters why he is the next best thing to Ali...!!!
the whole damn world will be rooting for dlh...he has just about every boxing fan on his dick as of today....pretty boy is only disliked by so many because he is great and isn't afraid to tell you he is great.
Never really been PBF fan anyway...............On the other hand DLh has been one of my favorite fighters for many moons........so I will be rooting for DLH without question and I think he is going to KO Floyd too for the record.
If DLH is soooo powerful in boxing 'politics', how come he couldn't get earned decisions vs Tito and Mosley, which the majority of the boxing world felt he won?

what in the world are you talking about? :dead1:
This shit is in May... I am going to get tired of hearing about this fight real quick.
it's one of the biggest fights of all time. who could ever get tired of talking about this? never too early for me, I've been waiting for this since 2003.
