Lacy out 9-12 months!

I'm rewatching the fight now and Steward says as early as round 3 that he sees Tsypko winning the fight. So even if his injury occurred in round 2, Steward already saw signs that Lacy looked poor.

Remember how Vernon looked after his torn rotator cuff? This is bad news for Lacy and his fans. His style already lead him to get hit. This will just make it worse.

How in did he get injured so easily in 3 rounds. He might have to call it quits if he keeps getting injuries, especially those that take months to heal.

Lacy should just retire now! I can't believe some of you guys are ready to right him off all together! WTF, why doesn't someone just shoot him and get it over with? Either you guys are very pessimistic or have a very short attension span; I don't know which is worse.

Gotta give the guy props for trying to fight with that injury.I have a rotator cuff tear that im rehabing without surgery.When i first tore it if i just moved it in the wrong position it felt like getting stabbed in the shoulder with a ice pick.I cant even imagine the pain if i had tried to throw a punch when i first tore it.

sadly, this might be true. He ballooned up in weight after the Calzaghe fight, now he CANT train so he is going to morph into James Toney. He has a bad shoulder. Nothing wrong with his legs and he can still exhibit some self-control and not eat himself completely out of shape. I give him a ton of respect though. This type of injury doesn't just happen, it builds up over time. Knowing that he still went on with the fight. I also liked the heart he showed by not quiting vs. Calzaghe. But when I read how depressed he got after the Calzaghe loss I knew he was in trouble. The greats don't let that shit kill them inside, they use it to come back stronger and better.
