wtf??? so because he made a smallest of mistakes, saying something in a language Marquez couldnt even understand, he shouldnt be able to ref again??? hahahahahahahahahaha And he said that because he was paid to? that was some VERY fair refereeing. the only hiccup was when he seperated the fighters for no reason, but that wasn't in Marquez's favor... i have absolutely no idea if u know what it means to be a good referee marquez understands english 1st of all..........i know what a good referee is like and by your response i believe you haven't seen cole referee fights lately....terrible....he is a crooked ref and last night further enhances the proof....

man that was a fishy ending......1st off what's the deal with cole telling marquez he's ahead in the scorecards.....then is it me or did it seem that jaca suddenly took a dive....i know the combo landed and all but he took harder shots earlier and he seemed like he was ok to continue....i dont maybe its just me.....anyways COLE SHOULD NEVER BE ALLOWED TO REF ANOTHER FIGHT AGAIN!!! he's been a crooked ref for a while and tonight there is no doubt he was in the GBP payroll......... What jaca sustained is called accumilation of punchs, and usally a fighter taking this many punchs early on is usally ko'd in the later round which is what happend. Its like when you hear commentaters or fighters say that they want to work the body from the opening round, so by the later round that fighter has no legs and his hands are down by his waist. Nothing fishy about what happened, jaca could have gotten up, but he didn't seem like he was their as he look clossy eyed. Had he gotten up, Marquez would have finished him off.

the referee was a crook. of course the fight was fishy, boxing is full of these dodgy decisions. Considering this was a 9th round stoppage, there were no dodgy decisions.

The ref telling JMM that he's winning the fight was a little strange but Jaca went down with a good punch but he didn't want to get up and risk his career. This fight was not even close in my opinion, JMM was clearly winning the fight. while JMM was winning, i dont think he was dominating or anything. that was some good spirited action with both fighters really giving their all. A few of the rounds were pretty close. But Jaca would have been out in the 3rd or 4th round if it wasnt for his granite chin. that kid can take a punch

I found nothing fishy at all. I think he was just calming marquez down b/c marquez seemed to think that the ref was trying to stop the fight and he seemed antsy in the corner. Just like i think max said Jaca didn't know where he was when he was hit and he had been hit with alot of clean shots and was hurt and stunned on 3 seperate ocasions. I agree.The ref telling Marquez that was stupid,but i think he felt bad for Marquez because he got the shit end of the stick on those two headbutts. As for the final scoring,I thought HBO was being way to nice to Jaca.I disagreed with hbo's card,a shutout for marquez wasnt out of the question.

i dunno why all three judges had all rounds for marquez though i had a diff card then lederman but i remember having round 2 for jaca atleast That was the only thing that really bothered me. I don't have a problem with the ref, or knockdown. But the 3 judges gave JMM all the rounds??? I had at least 2 rounds I think Jaca outboxed JMM and maybe even giving him a 3rd one.

I think there was nothing fishy. Jaca looked like he was lost when he went down. He never saw the punch.

You know JMM doesn't speak much English. So I don't see how this could have helped him hearing it. And on top of that, if he believed him, he could have quit fighting and just taken the win. (Man the hometown judges didn't even give Jaca a round, I was shocked at that) Jaca did not go down to the canvas on a dive. He was off balance and got clocked with a tremendous left hook. *Now, once he was on the Canvas, I was surprised he didn't get up. Cause to me it looked like he knew where he was, and just decided not to get up. I was a little suspect of that, but it was a natural knockdown. (And it would be one hell of an act to have fought like that for the whole fight and not go take a dive earlier, they were trading serious blows a couple rounds before)

That's going to be a huge issue with WBC open scoring for fights.
