Barrara. Its the fight that will generate the most as of now and its the only fight that makes alot of sense right now. They are both at the top of there game and Barrara who isn't getting any younger should fight Pac as soon as possible so there won't be any excuses from any of them. Barrara wants to prove it wasn't him in there in the ring fighting Pac and Pac wants to prove it was no fluke. Even though I do favor Pac I still want this to happen so Pac can shutup his other critics that say it was an off night from Barrara. Barrara beat Ruiz, but theres just no way Pac will stay on the outside and let Barrara pick him apart..... After this fight happens then you think about all those young lions ready to fight, but as of now Pac should fight Barrara while hes not too old yet. ARUM or Dela Hoya MAKE THIS FIGHT HAPPEN!!!
Yeah, thats something you gotta love. He wouldn't duck a soul.
I was more or less indifferent towards Manny before last night; but he's made a fan of me.
barera is obviously not past his prime
Yes he is. C'mon now. He's been past it. His outpointing Jurarez just means he's still got enough to do that.
Ali still had enough to stop Joe Frazier in 75; but he was past his prime...and he was past his prime when he beat Shavers and regained his crown from Spinks.
Barrera's been past his prime for a while. Lighter weight fighters who have been in as many wars as Barera don't stay in their prime for long.
I don't think we'll have to worry about that. Manny wants to beat the best from what I can see and isn't just in it for the money and fame.

Not to demean Pacs past accomplishments, but he needs to fight some fresher competition. I mean he needs to beat some guys who are in somewhat of their prime, so that there is no room left to doubt his superiority. When he beats Barrera/Morales, there's always that little part in me that thinks he beat what was left of those guys.

Honestly, JMM is past his best too; and I feel Manny would stop him as well....later, probably; but Manny's in his peak right now. He looks better than he ever has. Now, instead of just that big straight left, he's got a right hook and has polished his boxing skills, thanks to Freddy Roach. Right now, the only man who can beat Manny is Manny. He's the complete package from what I saw Saturday. Morales is past his best; but he's not shot. The way he was fighting, he probably could have beaten most of the top junior lightweights Saturday......but Manny completely blew him away. Manny's got too much for anyone at 130 right now IMHO.
the first kd was a left hook. something that manny didnt utilize in the past :D

Barrera might be an interesting fight but I think that he has faded from his prime because of all of the wars he's been in. If Barrera fights the way he did in Juarez II he can't beat Pac. Frankly I think the toughest fight (although boring) would probably be against JMM. JMM was KD 3 times but still managed a draw and basically controlled the fight after the shaky start. Interesting to see what would happen in a rematch. I agree with the above post in that the young guns are still young so fight some of the aging guys before they're over the hill.

Barrera will be lucky to see the end of the 8th if he rematches Pacquiao. He's at the same place in his career as Morales is/was....the end. Neither one of these two great warriors can handle the force that is Manny Pacquiao at this stage of their careers. Hell, I'm not sure if they ever could have; the kid's a monster and should be considered right up there with Mayweather as far as the pound-for-pound best in the sport....he may be the best. His competition has certainly been better than Mayweather's over the last few years. Also, he's beat the best from flyweight all the way up to junior lightweight....and has brought his power along with him, something Floyd hasn't done. Floyd never was a big puncher; but he did have some pop in his shots at 130, unlike now.
It is arguementative as to who is better between the two on a pound-for-pound basis.
no question, Manny Pacquiao is pound for pound #1. he has faced the better opposition. and has had the more exciting fights. no dancing and BSing in the ring, he knocks people out.

1. Barrera was not well prepared for that fight.
2. Barrera is NOT, I repeat, NOT at the top of his game.
3. Pacquiao destroys Barrera now.
4. diegofuego is my bitch, for hire
5. Pacquiao is at his prime right now.
6. Pacquiao has many many more figths\wins ahead of him
7. Pacquiao is a class act
Barrera and Morales were both full of excuses when they got blown out by Pacquiao. They're full of shit and so are their fans. No matter who Pacquiao beats, people will have an excuse for the loser. Rock on, Pinoys. The Mexicans can drown themselves in their tears for all I care.
I just got back from Vegas, so havent seen all the post fight vids, interviews... but what excuses did Morales make? He quit because he knew he couldn't beat him. And he told Larry Merchant that he was bested.
I'm mexican and a big fan of both fighters and very happy with the fight. Both went out and gave it their all and Pac blew Morales outta the water. As a fight fan im happy with the fight.
As I've said for months... Barerra fighting Pacquiao... why? He blew him out the first match and they should fight again all of a sudden? I didn't even like MoralesvPacquiao 3 for virtually the same reason. There's young blood out there... perhaps we should see some of it in the ring against Pacquiao.
How can he fight Barrera or even Marquez, his dumbass signed with Top Rank.
LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! stop hating bitch. just like erik and barera 3 didnt happen right?

Besides, Barrera and Marquez will find an excuse not to fight him like the pussies they are
