Just wanted to say how much respect I have for Morales.
When I saw him stay on the mat and shake his head 'no more', I instantly thought of all the fools around the world with that "fight till you die" notion of 'never' quit.
Morales was a beaten fighter, and in the post fight interview said "I looked at my corner and they were telling me to get up, but I said no. It would be to no avail. There are just some times when you're beaten, and I was beaten tonight".
Does anyone have the audacity to question that decision and take from Morales?
Because I thought he showed a lot of class and showed what a true pro and sportsman he was.
Pacquiao looked great, and seems to be continuing to get better. His right hook was the best it's ever been, and his footwork (getting in and out) makes him a dangerous fighter for anyone with the speed and power he already posessed.
Great night for boxing last night, and I wish all the best for Eric no matter what he deciedes to do.
I respect him too, but I did hope that Morales would get up and continue the way JMM did.
Manny would not be able to sustain the same crazy pace in round 4, so I thought that if Morales continued he would have a chance to beat Manny.
However, in order to do that he would have to win nearly all remaining rounds, which I doubt he could.
Great career. Great last fight.
Nice to see you're still a retard with no common sense.
Morales was done. You're a tool.

If Morales got up he would have got hurt badly. Pacquiao would have hammered away some more. Morales would have been KTFO, or the referee would have stopped it.
Big difference, Tszyu's was never hurt the way Moarles was hurt also the fight was extremely close after 11 rounds, if Tyszu would've won the 12th round I would've had it a draw.
How you know he was not hurt? Guy couldn't continue, bottom line, he held his ground for 11 rounds. At 35 he was able to hang in there, at 30 Morales was not, twice. I just find it ironic that is all, that people defend Morales, which I'm not saying is wrong, but Tszyu was discredited immediately. Just think about my argument, before just immediately disagreeing.
Bottom line is Morales is a warrior, but he quit out there, didn't get up, after 3rounds, and it is ok. Tszyu, 5 years older, also fought a top 10 p4p, younger guy, couldn't continue, corner stopped the fight, people went crazy to discredit his career. I just find it ironic, thats all.
ill show you...
Wow, that might be the single worst thing I've ever seen.
But, at the same time I just watched the whole thing.
That has car wreck curiosity appeal. :ugh:
Morales could've gotten up if he wanted to. There were only less than 10 sec in the 3rd round and round would've been over (he could rest). He just knew Pacquiao would hand him more beating in the next round.
Much resptect Manny!
You predicted the KO in the 2nd fight, and predicted Morales would stop fighting by choice in this fight.
Those are some impressive predictions! :boxing:
Seriously, so you are saying for 11 rounds, Hatton wasn't landing any flush shots to the chin/head?
Yea that's exactly what I'm saying.
/sarcasm.
Come on, seriously. Of course he was taking shots, but they were not comparable to the flush head and chin shots Manny was landing on Morales. Hatton was clubbing him, but the beating was much worse because Manny was landing at 68% of his power shots, and he landed single punch knock down shots on several occasions. It was a much worse and direct beating and that's why it resulted in multiple knock downs and in a stoppage.
I have a different opinion than you do, lets just leave it at that.

It's really apples and oranges as far as I'm concerned, because Tszyu wasn't taking the flush shots to the chin and temple Morales was last night.
I don't look down on Tszyu for stopping when he did, but imo it wasn't as bad a situation as Morales was in.
No, he was only taking rabbit shots, and it was Tszyu's apples that got blitzed.
Seriously, so you are saying for 11 rounds, Hatton wasn't landing any flush shots to the chin/head? Did you not notice any body punching as well?
Tszyu couldn't even hold up his hands in the last 30 seconds of the 11th round...So we are critical because Tszyu didn't go down, besides the nut shot?
This is the hypocritical and ingnorant shit I discuss when I have to always mention the Tyson situation how he never won after getting knocked down: you can't take anything away from a fighter if he is strong enough to stand up instead of going down from one punch...it maybe smarter to go down and take an 8 count, but some people don't go down unless they are unwillingly forced to.
But, I do understand your point in some way...just look at the video of the difference in the way Morales looked, and how Tszyu looked. Tszyu looked really out of it, and I think he may have had a concussion, which was reported to put down the brain bleeding report, but then taken back so I am not sure.

Tszyu was exhausted from about the 5th round on...breathing through his mouth, taking punishment, turning pale, and was FUCKING HIT IN THE TESTICLES which compared to the welterweight version of the Gerry Cooney vs. Larry Holmes testicle shot.
The one slight advantage for Tszyu, which I mentioned in a previous post, was that he only struggled to make weight, he didn't kill himself like Morales.
But, compare 3 rounds to 11, and then lets not forget we are talking about a fighter that has had many amatuer fights, 30+ pro fights in where he became Champion early on, was inactive for a while from 2 serious injuries (in which he said he was injured again either before or during the Hatton fight, not sure), and wasn't as motivated (which is on him).
To me he wasn't beaten nearly as badly as Morales was in those last two rounds.
I realize Tszyu was tired and had been hit low, and I'm not a person who critisized him for quitting.
But I don't think it's the same as Morales being beaten to the canvass.
I think Tszyu could have come out for the 12th and let it all hang out.
I think the guy's a warior no matter what, but that's just my opinion on the matter.
Don't care for that example.
Tszyu was on his feet, hadn't gone down, and was compeititive. A 2 or 3 point 12th round could have won him the fight.
Morales was blitzed, not in the fight, and getting seriously hurt.

Anyone that says Morales is a quitter is a fucking punk bitch.
Anyone can watch a fight and say, oh, I would have gotten up. Anyone can say anything.
What's up with those kids in your sig? :ugh:
