1. Manny Pac should be considered the p4p best fighter as of right now.
He fought tonight with tremendous heart and even though Morales was game and even giving it to Pac in the second round after the knock down, Pac would not give in and was walking threw and throwing his own bombs.
Opposition- 3years Span - Emmaunuel Lucero, Marco A. Barrara, Juan Manuel Marquez, Erik Morales, Oscar Larios, and Erik Morales. Improving every time I see him fight. His right hand hook is more of a weapon then ever and he seems a bit more Powerful everytime.
2. Floyd- Probably the greatest talent we've seen in years besides Roy Jones Jr who has 50 wins under his belt and has fought till 36. But talent alone doesn't give you automatic P4P status. Opposition- 3 years Span - Victoriano Sosa, Phillip N'dou, Demarcus Corley, Henry Bruseles, Aturo Gatti, Shamba Mitchell, Zab Judah, and Carlos Baldomir. Im not sure he really belong here, but before this, he was willing to take on some tough fights, but after Castillo either scared him in there first fight, he hasn't wanted to take a risk ever since there second fight. His only real risky fight was against Zab when Zab was easily outboxing him until he got off his game plan and got cocky an arrogant, but then again he wouldn't be Zab if he didn't fight stupid.
3. Winky is automatically 3rd as of now. Juan Candelo, Shane Mosely x2, Felix Trindad, Sam Soliman, Jermain Taylor. Hes a very dangerous boxer to fight because of his style and we'll see how good he does in a Jermain taylor rematch. He doesn't seem to ever change his strategy, but thats what makes him dangerous is because everyone knows whats comming but can they stop his style. We'll se when Taylor and Winky rematch again.
The whole essence of your posts was to try and negate Pac's claim for the #1 spot by diminshing the value of his last couple of wins, so don't talk to me about who's being dense. You were just trying to shift the point of your argument because it's so weak.
There's no real shame in getting stopped by Vasquez and Larios had been in fairly impressive form before that. Certainly more impressive form than Judah had. Fine, EM wasn't top 10 when Pac beat him, but it still dwarfs any recent win of Floyd's. The fact that it's Morales, who was still good enough to win their 1st fight and the 1st half of their 2nd fight deserves more respect than anything that Floyd's done recently. Throw in the nature of those victories and the guys that he's faced over the last 3 years and it becomes no contest really. Floyd's recent standard of opposition is a fucking joke by comparison.
You want to talk about p4p? What weight did Pac start at again? The fact that he's dominating legends, past their prime or not, at a higher weight sounds like the definition of p4p to me. 130lb isn't even his best current weight. Floyd's only faced 1 bigger man, and that was Baldy. All of the name fighters that Floyd's faced have moved up too, most of them from the same weight as Floyd, or below. That's only p4p material on paper.
Do you really not see the difference? There are some guys out there actually proving something against real fighters, and Floyd's not amongst them.
Im not trying to make a point for Floyds P4P ranking with my last few post. Are you dense? I was pointing out to another poster that Morales was not a P4P fighter when Pac fought him because he Just came off getting his ass kicked by Zahir Raheem and that the Larios win is diminshed also cause Larios just got his Ass KTFO in his last bout. So Basically his last 2 wins were over 2 guys who got Dominated in their previous bouts. I have no issue with you if you think pac is #1. I dont care if you do go ahead and think that it is your opinion after all. I will humor your post though.
Floyd is #1 because skill wise I dont see Manny P beating Floyd mayweather. also Floyd has scaled many weights and won over bigger men proving he is the essence of P4P. Winky is getting there and I still have him #2. I may move Pac up to #2 if Winky falls off against Ike. I dont see how anyone can move pac up to #1 or #2 right now.
If Pac ventures to 135 and beats Casamayor, Chavez, Diaz, or Freitas then he can be considered #1 P4P. That's contingent upon if Floyd loses to DLH however.
That's a little rough, there bro. You're placing harder qualifications on Pacquiao than Mayweather, himself, has met yet.
Manny has beat the best from flyweight up to junior lightweight....that means he meets the same qualifications as Floyd.....and it could be argued that he fought stiffer competition over the last few years, which could place him above Floyd.
Yes he has but he has some more ground to cover. im not saying he doesnt belong on the list he just isn't #1 yet.

I agree with you in the sense that Manny should still be at #3, but just because you can't see Manny P beating Floyd Mayweather in a P4P sense doesn't mean that he can't necessarily be #1 P4P (I'm speculating, roll with me here).
I can't see Floyd Mayweather beating Paul Williams if I'm being honest, but that doesn't make Paul Williams the #1 P4P either, you catch my drift?
I catch your drift but that is why I added the second sentence. He has been to many weights and proven he can compete and beat these guys over 4 weight classes belts in each and 3 conquered. That is the essence of a #1 P4P fighter and that's why he is my #1 P4P fighter. nobody else in the field has proven they can do that. I also highly doubt Paul can beat Mayweather at this point in his career he needs a Margarito, Quintana, Cotto type fight for me to really judge how good he is.
Explain to me Floyd's #1 ranking in your eyes then. Then explain to me how anything he's done in the last 4 years merits a ranking higher than Pac's, or Winky's for that matter.

My point is Morales and Larios lost before facing pac and were not on any P4P List. WTF is wrong with you people.
Floyd's only respectable opponent in the last 4 years lost before he faced Floyd so I don't see your point. Floyd's the one who hasn't done anything to earn the #1 spot, he's never even beaten a top 10 p4p fighter.
My point is Morales and Larios lost before facing pac and were not on any P4P List. Thats the only point I am making is that clear?
Morales and Larios both lost before fighting pac and were not on any P4P list. Stop taking drugs.

how am i taking drugs
morales twice and larios is better than mayweathers last 3 opponents
alot of people may wanna work the list out on skill alone but i work it out on your recent track record
you are taking drugs cause you said Morales was P4P. I didnt bring Floyds name up at all. dont post garbage if you dont want to be called out on it.

1)pac
2)pbf
3)winky
reason ive got pac #1 is because hes beaten a p4p fighter twice this year.
if calzaghe can get as high as 4th for beating jeff lacy (who wasnt on any p4p lists at the time ) pac should be number 1 with morales tko 10 , larios ud 12 and morales ko 3

Interestingly enough, when WAS the last time Mayweather fought a man in the top 10 p4p current rankings at the time they fought?

Paq at #1 ? you people must be crazy. Put Floyd or Winky in the ring with Manny P4P who wins? Do you people even know what P4P means? No please enlighten us. We are ignorant. :lol1:
Even though Morales is past his best, I can't think of too many fighters that would beat him the way Manny did.
p4p, Manny very well could be better than Floyd; but I won't give him that nod until he stops Barrera like he did "El Terrible"...and he will; but if he beats him, even by decision, he'll have earned the Top p4p slot as far as I'm concerned.
Then again, he's already stopped Barrera.
Shit. Manny may already be p4p best. I'm going to have to study on this really, 'cause he made a hell of a case for himself this year.
