Just a quick question for some of you guys more Knowledgeable than myself. Scenario - A boxer makes a million dollars from a title fight (1 title, WBC for kicks). How much of that does he actually bring home, himself, as profit? I know there are all kinds of fees, but I don't know what they are and how much they are. Just trying to get a feel for how lucrative "big fights" really are...
Thanks.
Out of a million, at least they should take home half of what they made, at least that.
Corrales he left with a little bit compared to what he got paid because of all the fees he had to pay do to being overweight.

It varies a lot but chances are he won't put much more than a 100K in his pocket after taxes and expences. Managers get about 33%, trainers 10%, income tax will hit 30% before the check is cashed. Then there is sanctioning fees, agents fees, lawyers fees, travelling expences, medical expenses, insurance, security, alcohol, drugs, whores, and God knows what else! Little wonder boxers end up broke by the end of their careers.
