I heard that Delahoya has said that if Floyd wants to fight him in May, then he needs to forget about February and let Mosley have that PPV date. he also has said that Floyd is crazy if he thinks he will get 10M to fight Mosley. Do yall think that Oscar is trying to show his weight and dictate floyd's career and decisions. Do u yall think he would promise Floyd a fight in May in order to get Mosley's date in Feb. and then turn around and retire anyways? i think Oscar is trying to make manuevers and strategizes to puppeteer Floyd.
ESPN is reporting what floyd and his teams says.
since Margarito offered 8 mil, do you honestly think Team floyd will state less than that ?
espn isnt **********/maxboxing etc etc, they have a reputation on the line that has been built over years and years of being a credible news source, if they say 8million the chances of them being wrong are pretty slim and if it is wrong even in minor instances espn comes down on that stuff hard.
Just my guess...
Oscar is a promoter now. If PBF fights Sugar in Feb a couple of things could/will happen.
A. PBF could lose to Sugar. Just because Vernon has his number, doesn't mean PBF does. If Mayweather loses, you will see him go down in status quick because of his choice in comp lately.
A1. Oscar will lose money putting Sugar up against someone else, setting him up for the winner of PBF/Oscar.
Some people on this forum are younger, so let me explain something to you...
When you go to get a job the employer offers you X amount of money to work for him. You can choose to either accept that money, or try to negotiate and make a case of why you feel you should be paid more. At this point, the employer can either choose to agree with and give you the money you want, or not hire you and get someone else. PBF has to understand with the exception of 90's Tyson, Oscar runs PPV thus running the money in the sport. He is truly the Golden Boy.
For whoever said if PBF beats Baldi he will be the man and won't need Oscar...IMO that is a joke. If PBF comes out and dominates (which I suspect he will) people are going to discredit the win. PBF NEEDS (I repeat again NEEDS) a household name fighter like a Sugar or Oscar. If PBF loses people are going to say either he went to high in weight or look at the people he has fought lately. What a cycle...
Enough rambling....Bottom Line...
Don't bite the hand that can feed you....
Fight more....
Don't be so cocky, get the public on your side. Become that household name you want so bad....
Floyd is crazy if he thinks he is gonna get 10M to fight Mosley. He may get that kind of mone fightiing Oscar, but not Mosley. Floyd may not like it but when it comes to negotiations, Oscar is gonna dictate what happens because he brings in all the money and if Floyd wants the fight and the money he will have to go along because he will not make anywhere near the kind of money without Oscar. No fight he will be in will even come close to the kind of revenue and filling seats the way Oscar does. Of course Oscar is gonna throw his weight around and dictate what happens and if Floyd doesn't want to see his payday go out the window, he will have to go along with it.
If he's getting 9M fighting Baldy, I think 10M for Mosley is not out of the question
I disagree here.
Vargas was not in his prime. he was on a descent at that point.
floyd is still a bitch
You don't agree that Vargas was in his prime when he fought Winky? He was still undefeated at that point.
especially after the showing he put on against Vargas when Vargas was in his prime.
I disagree here.

look, i'm glad we don't have the same views it would be boring discussions if everyone felt the same way but with that being said you don't see me on here constantly bashing one certain fighter. now onto your boy oscar, to say he never ducked or backed down from a fight is insane winky called him out for years and i don't remember oscar taking him up on that fight. do you?
I will give you that I have even actually admitted that before. I don't think Oscar was afraid of him but I will admit Winky was and is a bad match up for him and everyone. That being said Oscar has taken on more than his share of elite opposition, you can't deny that. Why do you think it took him so long to get a shot and especially after the showing he put on against Vargas when Vargas was in his prime. I'm not bashing Floyd but if you are gonna be as cocky and arrogant as Floyd and tell everyone that will listen that you are the greatest and be that vocal considering yourself to be the man and even saying things like he would have killed Leonard in his prime you better put up or shut up. Alll I'm saying id that if he is gonn run his mouth the way he does than he also need to consistantly back it up by fighting the elite fighters and not settling for lesser opposition that he has the past couple of years.

Mayweather gets 8mill plus a cut of all PPV sales.
How do fans like myself ruin these forums? Just because I don't share the same opinions as you on this matter? Is it not true wether you want to beleive it or not that Floyd has taken the easier route within the last few years? I'm sorry if you don't like that, but thats not hate it's the truth. When was the last true test he has had? You can say what you want aout Oscar but one thing that you can't say is that he is a coward or that he has ever backed down from anyone. Your right technically he lost to Tito, but we all know that he won that fight or worst case scenario could have been a draw and that is stretching it. He won at least 7 to 8 rounds of that fight and last time I checked 7 or even 8 rounds out of twelve still equals a win, but thats the past. He did lose the first fight to Shane but should have gotten the decision in the second once again that is the past and it is what it is. He won close fights in Quartey and Sweet Pea not contreversial. Oscar di enough in the fight with Quartey to win that fight, I will admit he was losing until the twelvth, but did what he had to do to close the show and earn the decision. Onto Whittaker, all he did the entire fight was run around the ring and try to put on a show by clowning for the judges. Oscar got an ugly win, close not contreversial. Your not gonna look good against Whittaker. I agree that he probably should not have gotten the decision against Strum but he also was looking forward to Hop and was not even close to being in shape. Had he been in shape and taken Strum seriuously he would have easily outboxed him, that being said I won't make excuses and he should have not gotten that decision. He lost to Hop, but ther is no shame in losing to one of the best middleweights of all time. He hung with him and fought a competitive fight until that body shot. Say what you want about Oscar, but one thing you can't say is that he didn't take a fight because it was high risk or low reward or who has he fought. When he fought Quartey at welter, who had Quartey fought and he was not a well known name and it was a very high risk fight but you didn't hear him making a bunch of excuses. LIke him or not, you can't say that he ever backed down from a challenge. Your right he won some and he lost some, but at least he had the balls enough to take the challenge and risk losing. You can't say the same thing for Floyd as of the last few years and if that makes me a hater for putting the truth out ther, than I guess I am a hater. The difference between myself and a lot of Floyds fans is that they have blinders on and can't be objective when it comes to him. Don't get me wrong the guy is probably the most talented fighter in the world right now, all I am saying is that as of late he has not been willing to take that risk and really test himself taking the safer route. Baldy is no slouch, but in all honesty he is not an A class fighter as well. He is more of a glorified jorneyman who has had his fifteen minutes if fame but in all reality isn't that big of a threat to Floyd if he moves and boxes him. I am a DLH fan, but at least I can be objective when it comes to him by admitting he was probably given the Strum fight and didn't deserve that one. Maybe you'll should excercise the same objectivity. I'm not saying that Floyd isn't one of the most skilled or talented fighters in boxing. I'm saying that as of lately he hasn't been willing to really test himself against anyone that has had a real shot. Thats not hate it's the truth wether you want to recognize it or not. I have a hard time ranking him ahead of someone like Winky in the P4P race considering the competition that Winky has faced. I'm not hating on Floyd and as soon as he starts to consistantly fight A class opposition I have no problem admitting I was wrong. Thats the difference between a fan like myself and someone who refuses objectivity and is blind to the truth.

so called fans of boxing like yourself ruin these forums and just make me sick with all this hate on a fighter. all you guys do is come on here and bash floyd every which way you can. oscar tries to pull to much bullshit when it comes to negotiating like the split he offered tito recently which is bullshit for someone who holds a win over oscar already. and everytime oscar steps up to a big challenge he loses (see tito, mosley, hops) or should of lost (see sweetpea, quartey, and sturm). anyway he should just shut the fuck up and get in the ring if he is going to continue to fight instead of jerking the fans around with it might be floyd no it might be tito no now its back to floyd but he is only going to get this amount or that amount. like i could care less to see oscar in the ring again but floyd has been calling him out and thats the bottom line.

How do you know? ESPN says its 8 million.

Damn that Jai Mari! A man has to have principles. If Hoya wants to fight in May, fine, but he can't dictate whether not a fighter fights someone else or not before him. Oscar is trying to handle negoatiations between the 2 of them which is fine, and handle negotiation and Floyd's $$$ in Feb. too, now that's not cool.
He has to puch for the best for mosely also since he is agolden boy fighter. He is trying to take care of his people and also show floyd that the fight would be in oscars terms not floyds.
i don't see why he can't, other than Oscar no one can say they can. Just face it, the lil guy is carryignthe sport on his back and he is worth more than 10M if Oscar is getting more than that for fights.
I see you are conceding, again

and I proved them all wrong, as I am just proving you wrong again.
in the video he claims he is making more than 8 mil, then goes on to say he is making 8 figures. 8 figures means at minimum 10 mil.
he clearly cannot make 10 mil from a Moseley fight, and you and he expect us to believe he is gonna make that with Baldomir ? are you phucking drunk ?
