he needs to fight a big name in order for him to be talked about by all the people because in order for a fighter to be talked about is to defeat a household name like a corrales,freitas maybe even a morales(who is slated to move up in weight)...

I used to dislike Juan for some reason but there is nothing not to like about the guy.I wish he had a little more power but other than that he is a very good all around fighter and very fun to watch. The only thin he lacks is the power, but it has been proven that you don't have to have knockout power to be successful. Look at guys like Kassim Ouma and even Floyd fgor that matter. He has all the other tools to be successful and I am hoping that he gets a big fight soon. He so much ppotential that I hope he lives up to. I will admit that I was very dissapointed that he decided to go with Don King, that is never a good idea. I just hope that Don doesn't fuck him over and ruin him the way he has so many of his other fighters.

IMO if he went down in weight he would have more power, and more KO's. Looking at his body, I think he can afford to go down a class. But I agree he's an entertaining fighter to watch as is.

Juan Diaz isn't a household name because he hasn't beaten a single name fighter. He's got great talent and an exciting style, but he has yet to defend against a name opponent. Also, he is a Mexican-American, not a nationalist. So without a Gold medal, it's hard to work up to that level. In boxing and cross over appeal, you're only as good as the quality of your opposition.

He is a very good fighter. Excellent hand speed. Throws nice combos. Gives you max effort for 12 rounds. He is fighting this weekend, but no one is really talking about him.:boxing: cause I have an 8 year old cousin who hits harder than him, but in all fairness she does hit pretty hard.
