I have always heard that what defines a champion is there ability to pick them selfs up after a loss.
Ali pep the sugars paterson louis. All these fighters are considered some of the best.
You think a loss will actually help us see what kind of champ he is?
I mean might not be good if the loss is to carlitos but carlitos is the champ.
It might be good for floyd to get a good rivalry.
Carlitos might just be floyds frazier.
Floyds getting older, look at Roy Jones, he lost and well his no where near the level he used to be.
I kind of judge a fighter after a lose, but again i don't say he sucked if he can't reach the top again.
A lose can fuck with your mind, and for some fighters once the invinseablity is gone, so is the way they fight, the way they react and etc.
At the end, its at what time in their careers did they lose and how did they react after wards but still judge them for their past.
Theirs many fighters that once they lost they were never the same.
Some fighters it makes them others they can't seem to get back to the top again, their edge is gone.
No one wins forever, sooner or later if you fight enough quality oppoents you will lose. How a fighter reacts after a legitimate loss defines them in my eyes. Do they pick themselves up or does everything crumble around them. The greatest champions in my eyes become stronger and more determined after a loss.
