FF: Paul thanks for taking the time to talk to the fans. How are things?
PW: Everything is going very good.
FF: We heard a few weeks ago from Dan Goossen that you will fight on the Mayweather vs. Baldomir card in Las Vegas on Nov.4th. Is that now official?
PW: Yes sir. I’m excited to be on any card and this is an HBO PPV so everybody’s going to get to see me. It’s a good chance for people to get to see me for real.
FF: Will it be on the televised portion of the card?
PW: Yes, it will be televised.
FF: This isn’t the big fight you were looking for, but it’s a great short notice opportunity to be showcased to a very wide audience. What has it meant for you to be coming off those back to back fights on HBO straight into a big PPV like this?
PW: I’m feeling really good about this exposure. HBO will have me on and it’s because they know people want to see me because I put on a good show. I always try to put on a good show for the fans and I’m very excited (Trainer George) Mr. Peterson was able to get me back on HBO so quickly.
FF: Boxrec.com lists your opponent for this fight as Jacy Kuhn. Is that correct?
PW: Yes sir.
FF: Do you know anything about him?
PW: No, not a lot. My focus is on me and what I need to do. I am training like this guy is one of the champions and I’m expecting the best fight possible. I don’t know a lot about him and am going in blind, but I’m looking at him as a dangerous opponent. He’s got a lot to gain so he’s going to go for broke and I can’t let him do that on me. I’ve just got to remain focused and put on a good show like I always do.
FF: Obviously he isn’t a name opponent, but I imagine it would have been difficult to line up a big fight on 3 weeks notice. With that said, how important is it for you to put on a spectacular performance in this fight? Is that the goal and are you looking to put fellow welterweights on notice?
PW: Once I get into my rhythm it turns into a good show. I come to fight and I love fighting. My skill level, god gave me a gift, and I look to put on a good fight every time I’m in the ring.
FF: Mayweather could be a potential opponent for you in the future. Are you excited fighting on the same card?
PW: I’ve been looking forward to fighting Mayweather or Baldomir, I’d like to fight the winner. I want the #2 ranking and when one of them loses I’m looking at that #1 ranking. I look forward to fighting either of them. Anyone at 147 with a major title, I want to fight them.
FF: A while back he was asked to comment on you and he played like he didn’t know who you were. Will you have any kind of message for him if you get the chance to talk to him in and around the fight?
PW: If he wants to pretend he don’t know me, lets keep it that way. I’m pretty sure he knows who I am now. He’s seen the fights and when you have a guy coming up in your own weight class and there’s a lot of talk about them and they’ve been on HBO (Floyd’s network) of course you’re going to check them out and see what kind of style they’ve got.
Saying he ain’t seen me means he’s not worried and is sleeping on me. If he wants to do that, let him keep sleeping. Like I said, all I need is an opportunity to get one of the champions in there and people will see what I can do.
FF: Are you disappointed that you were unable to secure the December fight against Margarito?
PW: Not really disappointed. I know my time will come with Margarito. I know it’s coming and I’m in the gym all the time staying ready. This fight with this dude Kuhn is to stay busy and fight on HBO again.
FF: Have you heard anything from the WBO about them enforcing that shot or stripping him?
PW: I’ve heard the WBO is mandating the winner of Margarito and Clottey must face me next and I’m just going to stay busy and be ready for that when it happens. My time is coming and I’m looking forward to it.
FF: Margarito and Top Rank have gone on record as saying you priced yourself out. Can you comment on that?
PW: He said what?
FF: That you priced yourself out of the Dec.2nd fight. Do you know anything about that?
PW: No sir. I don’t know anything about that. (laughs)
FF: I think it’s pretty clear he wasn’t interested in fighting you this year. Is that your goal, to see that mandatory fight enforced as soon as possible in 2007?
PW: Oh I’m looking very forward to this fight. And all the comments like that are just adding fuel to the fire. It’s making me want to stay in shape, train hard and be ready. I’m looking forward to getting that WBO belt. And then I want the WBC belt and that IBF belt… I want all them titles. They’re all going to have to deal with me. I’m going to give the fans something they’ll enjoy.
FF: This November fight will be your fourth of the year, which is very active. Do you plan on continuing that trend in 2007?
PW: I love to stay busy. I don’t want to sit and wait for a fight. I stay in training every day but I don’t want months to go by waiting on fights. I like to stay busy. I feel like right now we really hot and I want to keep it hot. In 2007 we’re going to keep really busy.
FF: What do you have to say to all the Paul Williams fans out there who’ll be watching you on Nov.4th?
PW: To all my fans out there I want you to know that when you turn on your TV that I’m going to make it exciting for you. It’s going to be a good show and Paul Williams is going to do what he always do. He’s going to put up a good fight and hopefully come out victorious like he always does.
FF: Thanks for your time Paul. We look forward to catching up with you a little closer to fight night.
PW: My pleasure. Thank you.
Williams obviously was laughing at the fact that margarito and arum both making that bs lies saying he over price himself lol. It shows that the only ppl that believe williams over price himself is margarito nuthuggers the leader of the nuthuggers are of course is fer, sal and junkie.

Green to Williams rumors "I don't fight suspects"
By Marc Abrams
Green, who was contacted by 15rounds at his home in Tulsa, Oklahoma continued, "I don't fight prospects anymore and for that matter i don't fight suspects either."
If Margarito said this about one of his opponets he'd get bad mouthed quick.
There you go. You just made my point. If williams over price himself then how come arum and team margarito didn't say how much is williams asking for? i guess they can't find a good lie.
So how much you think Williams will get paid for a Margarito fight 1 million :lol1:
I never believed that Williams out priced himself. He seems willing to fight at the drop of a hat. He asked for Margarito on national TV. Do you all really think he asked for some outrageous amount? Get real. This is a clear indication of Margarito and his team trying to save face. But after this bout, he can either vacate his title or take his L like a man.:boxing:
I heard he asked for 2 mill some where not sure if thats true.
Somewhere? lol care to link that? lol i bet it's no link to that. Arum and margarito teams didn't say how much williams wanted. So bascally means they are clearly lying.

How much you think Williams should get paid for his fight with Margarito?
As if Williams would admit to this.
One interesting question not asked is how much is Williams asking for a Margarito to fight, and does he know that his fight with Margarito may go to purse bit?
But then again those would be to tough questions for Williams.

Lol, find me a promoter that isn't a lair! Arum is the best at it, because people actually likes this fartmouth!
We all know Margarito the most feared man in boxing didn't want to fight Williams, Rivera or Collazo.
DLH is the best promoter today.
Me too. Mayweather vs williams would be an interesting fight.
You know, come to think of it. I rather see williams vs margarito, that fight could be the fight of the year of 2007. Margarito nuthuggers keep saying williams has no defense that he will get ko bad by margarito lol they sound like margarito is not easy to get hit lol. This fight is really an even match up except that williams is taller with longer reach.
Ty 4 this real nice read... Lol at floyd not knowing who williams is... Scared? I want to see that fight more then a marg williams fight...
Me too. Mayweather vs williams would be an interesting fight.
Arum is the same guy that said cotto would destroyed mayweather and then said mayweather is the greatest fighter since ali and now he's saying cotto ain't ready to fight floyd lol. Arum is a bs liar and the margarito nuthuggers believe everyword he said.
and once they read this they are still going to try and defend him...
Arum is, has been, and always will be a liar.
I dont know why anyone would take anything he says to be remotely true.
