AM I the ONLY ONE who thinks WINKY WRIGHT is an exciting fighter?!?!?!?!?

wink has been in 2 Ring FOTY candidates vs Vargas in 00 and Mosley in 04.... And hes been a pressure fighter for a while now...if theres no fight, its really his opponents fault... LOL, trying to blame his opponet for there being no fight. Go see Jorge Arce he can make a one sided fight very exciting even when his opponet is covered up in a shell against the ropes.

Winky is more fan friendly. He takes one to land one just like a puncher/slugger but he doesn't have that type of power. People like to point out how great of a boxer he is, I would say was cause thats the right word, was a good boxer. He doesn't box no more he stalks you and hunts you down and trys to over whelm you with his style. I don't know how anyone can now call winky a boxer as in styles. When in his last few fights all he does is look like a puncher looking to hit a home run. The ike quartey fight was fun cause both winky and quartey looked like booble heads. They each must have landed at will on each other showing no defense and they both couldn't hurt each other. Is he exciting?! He can be, but i think what stops him from really getting ko's is his style, he take 10 punchs then try and land 1-2 hard shots and the worst part is that its repetitive, he does the same thing over and over and thats what gets boring he does the same shit in the ring over and over.

I love the technical aspect of the game and love watching outboxers and find it exiciting. It's a different kind from a slugger, but I perfer to watch it. So yeah I find Winky Wright exciting. The only type of boxing I hate to watch is when they don't throw punches (example: Cory Spinks vs Jermain Taylor)

I like Winky, but he isnt exciting to me.

I dont find him exciting.. but I think he is a great technical fighter. and still enjoy watching him fight... but i wouldnt call him exciting.

he may not be a ko artist buy i think he's an exciting fighter. he's the type of guy who always comes forward, dominates his opponents with his jabs, a guy who never clinched.

Wright is a very boring fighter. When he learns to commit with his punches and hurt someone, then maybe the real boxing fans will watch his fights. wow this is old, why'd u bring it back. And all the "real" boxing fans already watch him so...

You have to understand, most people watch boxing in hopes of someone getting their head knocked off. Wright isnt that type of fighter. But if you appreciate defense, jabbing and boxing basics, you will love Wright.:boxing: Exactly. That's why some people say that he doesn't generate a crowd because he's not the type of fighter that brawls in the ring or even just let the hands go. For example when he fought Soloman there were boo's coming from the crowd. Everyone watches boxing for their own reasons whether is to see a techinically sound fighter or simply to witness 2 fighters beat the shit out of each other.

And trinidad was a boring fight? Winky actually landed some bone crunching shots in that fight. i loved it. And Vargas was an outstanding fight. Just beautiful action. It was a technical fight at times, but when right walks into a powerpuncher, it makes a great fight Just like against taylor. Wright walked into Taylor for 11 rounds and it made an outstanding fight. One of my favorite fights of all times, and u can only get that kind of action from winky wright. his style is so unique. I guess thats why im such a big boxing fan. i am rarely bored by a boxing match, technical or not. But even so, i find winky very exciting to watch in almost all his fights. im a big winky fan... i think he is very good especially with his defense, but honestly, i dont think he is that exciting as other fighters.

a lot of fighters find there niche. winky on his slipping and sliding and quick jabs. hopkin his conserving energy stalking. they may seem booring but its a science. you get these k2 boxers and you put them in the ring with a real boxer and they fail.in an alley fight these kickboxers rule but in a legit ring the skills it takes in the art and science of boxing overwelms most. except for the state the hvweight division is in. you got guys like peter giving wlad a hard time. hilarious. I think Winky is an exiting fighter. The Trinidad fight was very watchable. It was a boxing lesson, just because Wright didnt get hit doesnt mean it wasnt exiting for me.

Winky style is boring to watch. The reason he has been on an exciting fights cause like mosley, vargas and taylor with their style would make an exciting fights. If winky fought guys like hopkins then i bet all my money that this fight will be soo boring it could be worst then watching ruiz vs valuev.

I don't think he's exciting but its not a snore fest. I like Hopkins more.

I don't find him boring he watch...he's very technical and i think thats why people consider him boring. If you can enjoy watching a technical fighter fight than hes great, but its not for everybody.
