Just got the new "Ring Extra" check out the cover

Just got this today. I like the Ring, it's a quality publication, but like I always say, it's a shame it's not more current. By the time they feature fights you've usually forgotten about them or are past caring. It's a little frustrating knowing that if you see a really good one you've got to wait at least two months before it gets covered in there. I like the ring because they seperate the bullshit from the rumours/garbage. The Ring doesnt turn itself into a rediculous and confusing gossip mill and their writers rarely have a personal agenda against certains fighters. That integrity isnt always shared by web writers which is why i dont really like them.

Collins said Floyd was real exicted to do the cover because of how similar it was to a 1980 issue with Tommy Hearns on the cover wearing "gangster" apparel.I was about to post, "I recall something similar in an issue decades back involving Hearns." Then, I saw your post.:) Edit: After posting this, I saw Borikua's post too. Thanks to both of ya! This means I don't have to rummage through my old magazine files to see if my memory has not failed me.;)

i like it, The Ring should do more creative covers like that.. Agree, covers like that are way better than action shots. You can see pics from the fight on the net, that's the best Ring cover i ever seen.

The Roy Jones article in that is awesome, it reminded me of prime Roy and that slight, glimmering possibility of him actully coming back in top form.
