THe secon fight was clearly competitive just like the first, it was not a handling at all.
Very true. And also in the second fight Mayweather complains about body punchs.
whats interesting is to see how PBF reacted to not having things go his way, as expected. He started taking some shots, pushed around and he got on his bike!
Outside of this fight I think Floyd was close to unstoppable before he stepped up to jr welter but he's out of his weight now! It is a matter of time before he gets roughed up or caught by a true welterweight punch,*maybe Castillo?* but definitely if he fights De La Hoya at jr middle! For that matter he better be prepared for a real fight against Shane Mosley. I'll put money on Mosley if the fight happens, wouldn't it be great. See, those guys got his level of talent and have fought the wars against other fighters of that caliber. Floyd's legacy will be ended with big L's when he steps up to either Mosley or the golden boy. But outside of being a giant, conceded, prick Mayweather is a great boxer and usually makes for an entertaining fight.
lMAO!!! Mayweather had all kinds of injuries in the first fight.
Second fight was close also, he won but not like people are making it out to be.He tweeked EXACTLY what he did in the first fight and made it look a little better.
no i aint saying he lost 7 rounds straight!!!
but i'am saying that if you think castillo lost the first five straight then sorry mate but you either aint seen the fight before,
or your head is so far up mayweathers ass that you aint gonna give credit to anybody he boxes.
i scored the fight objectively as i have respect for both fighters even tho they are so different in style.
i dont care if a fighter is mexican or american, black or white i'll say it how i seen it.
it's whats known as my opinion!!!!!!
so come on im interested in how you scored it.....please tell me without quoting something that has already been posted in this thread.
read my post again and i think you will see that i favour no fighter,
in my opinion castillo won a close fight but i give respect to floyd for taking a straight rematch which i also state that he won clearly.
and please stop with the triple post bullshit boxing is about opinion and not trying to be a smart ass and claiming other peoples opinions are wrong.
AND FACT; yeah that video is bullshit and obviously posted by a castillo fan.
BUT FACT; some rounds were that close that i dont believe that 5 people outta 10 would have the same scorecards.
first off, I said nothing disrespectful to castillo whatsoever, i think he is a great fighter, but he lost those 1st 5 rounds, that is one of the reason why he came out in the 6th all out like he did. He was getting whooped and that aint opinion, thats fact! Floyd was blocking those shots with shoulders and countering the hell out of him. Secondly, I said nothing about race or nationality, what I said was how could you in your most humble opinion score that fight for Castillo with the early rounds given away and the point deductions? And also smart ass, i referred to your quote only once, those other post was objection to other people opinion, not a triple post. if you dont want your opinion challenged, then don't post your opinion.
I think I know why to. It is called racism, I bet you dkknight is not black. Hating on floyd gives him and others like him a sense of satisfaction on the negative side. If floyd were white or mexican he would be considered the greatest of alltime. Floyd beat castillo twice by Unanimous decision....
Dude your a fucking idiot!!!!!!!!!!!!! In almost ebery thread I see you in, you are pulling the race card like a dumb ass!!!!!!!! Just because some people may not like Floyd or have a different opinion of him other than what you or other people that like Floyd have does not make them racists. No one is even talking race, yet you are the only that evr brings it up. Maybe your the one with the issues. FUCKING DUMB ASS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I dont see how u can have castillo up 1 when he lost the 1st five rounds and the point deductions, I know u not saying Floyd lost 7 rounds straight.

I scored the fight even at 114. I thought it could've gone either way but Castillo did look stronger at the end which would make people believe he won the fight. Fights, thank God, are not scored by how well a fighter does at the end, but by adding 12 individual rounds that were scored independently of how they did in previous rounds.
If PBF was injured, we don't know for sure. However, we do know that the second fight was all PBF. But to say he was never pressured that way in a fight before Castillo is to be ignorant to his previous fights. He was pessured by Chavez, Augustus, and Gerena in similar fashion. Especially Chavez who came at him with all he had and tried to steam-roll him.
i re-watched this fight about 4 weeks ago and scored it to castillo by one point 115-114.
but commented very close next to 4 rounds which could have been judged either way.
i think alot of the controversy about the decision is the 116-111 and 115-111 twice that just adds to the theory of this being a major robbery.
in the second fight altough floyd won alot more clearly than the first fight the judges came in with 116-113 and 115-113 twice as is they were giving castillo much more credit because of the public opinion of the first fight.
in my opinion castillo won the fight although it was close, infact very close but he won plain and simple.
but the decision went against him as it sometimes does in this game!
the fact remains though that castillo is the only man floyd has ever faced twice,
and unusually for floyd i believe the rematch was actually about securing his legacy rather than making money.
when all is said and done and future boxing fans look at the record books there will still be two big fat W's in the win column for floyd.
I dont see how u can have castillo up 1 when he lost the 1st five rounds and the point deductions, I know u not saying Floyd lost 7 rounds straight.
quite a few people saw mayweather winning the fight. not sure why their opinion doesn't count as much as yours, since that's how they saw it too.
since their entitled to their opinions, i guess your claim that it was a draw or a castillo win isn't fact. so I guess they could refute your statement.
not sure where you're going with this.
You know Jose, what is fact is that Floyd has W in the win column for that fight, that is FACT!
lol are you dumb or just ignorant?
What in the world does me "hating" on Mayweather have anything to do with racism? I don't care if he's black white or green, I go based on his boxing skillz not the color of his skin. I don't like Mayweather b/c he's a cocky SOB. I don't get any satisifaction for "hating" on him. I think he's a great boxer the best out there right now and one of the greats of all time. I won't take that away from him. But doesn't mean I have to like him. And I guess since he's black then automaticly its "Oh he's bashing the black guy! RACISM!!..." yeah very typical type of thinking from ignorant people such as yourself.
But I digress, Mayweather was beaten fair and square in the first fight and was given a gift decision. Wether your a Mayweather fan or not, you cannot, without a shadow of a doubt, refute that statement. At BEST, it was a draw. And that's giving Mayweather a gift. That's all Im saying. This isnt about "hating" on anyone or bashing a particular race or anything.. I'm telling you how I saw it. Everyone is entitiled to their opinion and how they saw it and that's why I'm here. To conversate with people with similar and opposing views and get insight from diff sources. Bigtime9, you need to grow up.
How is it a gift decision when Castillo lost like the 1st five rounds, the same rounds that video doesn't show. People who haven't seen the fight, ask your self why would somebody only show 3 rounds that aren't even consecutive rounds. That video is made by a republican, they are bred to be spin doctors!!!

Look at the comp.
Who are these guys fighting?
Gatti fights B level fighters when he wins, and he gets crushed when he fights A level...I love watching the guy fight, but that is the truth.
Malignaggi, fought Cotto, only real big name guy and lost
Cotto??? which fight did he get hurt in?
And this isn't like the first time Mayweather has fought hurt...he had hand problems since the start of his career...
I'm not debating the level of comp, if that was the case, I thought Jesus Chavez had a tougher time against Eric Morales than PBF did against JLC. What I'm saying is that eventhough PBF got the decision and many thought he lost the fight, you can not blame PBF's performance on his shoulder. Getting hurt in fights is nothing new to these guys, as you very well said, PBF has sustained hand injuries through out his whole career and that never stopped him before.
Jesus Chavez fought Eric Morales with one hand for nearly 8 rounds, Gatti has broken his hands God knows how many times, so has Cotto, Malignaggi and a bunch of other fighters and have found ways to win. PBF lost that fight period, why are people bringing the second fight up since the subject is the first fight? Can't stand that PBF lost?

ROFL.
Like Gunstar stated, I love how that video shows CASTILLO's best rounds of the entire fight.
I wonder why he didn't put rounds:
1,2,3,4,5,8,11
People tend to forget the first half of the fight is worth just as much as the second half. DOES ANYONE FUCKING REMEMBER THE FIRST 6 ROUNDS OF THIS FIGHT? FLOYD WON 4 OR EVEN 5 OF THEM EASILY.
Saying Floyd was given a "gift" is absolutely a ridiculous statement. Floyd won a VERY close fight that could of been scored either way. Unfortunately for Castillo fans and Floyd haters, Floyd won a fair, but close decision.
