Please, answer all these questions. Thanks in advance.
I think it is very disrespectful to say Abraham did not deserve to win, he's a true warrior and worthy champion. Miranda is a very good fighter as well, but not as good as Arthur.
the statement that really shocked me out of them all, was someone saying the Abraham was hurt during the fight... i mean his jaw was broke, of course, but he never gave any signs of getting dropped
I finally did see it in Anorak's Hungarian upload. Admittedly I stopped being attentive in the later rounds, since I had some visitors and anyway by then I had given enough rounds to Abraham (he only needed four to win the fight). I didn't find Miranda's behavior so objectionable, but it was clear that he could not land more than about 20% of his punches. Abraham's style, on the other hand, will take some getting used to. I'd like to know, if possible, exactly how the people who are claiming that Miranda won 9-10 rounds (I take it you're giving him rds. 3 and 8, but not 1 and 4?) scored it.
As far as winning rounds in 30 -40 second flurries is concerned, that can certainly be done if the other guy failed to land effectively for the rest of the time, which was indeed the case in this fight.
finally someone who is not blind, Abraham was hurting miranda every time that he opened up, whilst miranda was throwing wild punches that were mostly bloked or missed.

Boy this fight turned ugly fast. After the first 5 rounds, this fight was sloppy. Low blows by Miranda, holding by Abraham. Will give props to Abraham for continuing. He could have taken an easy out.
But I stand by my word that the first 4 rounds were split at best, and Miranda did the most work. He landed more because he threw more. Abraham fought in spurts. I am not talking about him being just a little more active, he was considerably more active than Abraham.:boxing:
solid points Bobby.. i fear that many on this board haven't even seen the fight and are making assumptions with their statements on the fight..
I seriously didn't give Miranda more than 4 rounds (he basically took the last 3).. early on, Arthur looked like the better fighter overall and, knowing he was up big thanks in part to Miranda's low blows, he wisely steered clear of Miranda's big haymakers in those final 3 rounds.
You can't imagine how tired Abraham must've been at that point, with the amount of blood lost, plus the punishment he did sustain from Miranda, not to mention how painful the jaw must've felt
I gave Miranda the 2nd, 10th, 11th, and 12th... and i could maybe see someone giving him one or two more rounds AT MOST
currently watching the fight. no one way abraham one the first 4 rounds. miranda was way more active in the first two. you cant steal rounds with flurries here and there.
You cant steal rounds like that? Damn someone better hurry and tell DLH.
Miranda was throwing more punches but they werent landing. The way I understand it, you are giving the rounds to Miranda for being more active not considering how many of his sloppy shots landed. His accuracy was very low compared to Abraham's power punches which landed several times and had Miranda buzzed.
through 4 rounds I have it 3-1 miranda, 2-2 at best. i gave round 4 to edison. abraham had his moments but if you look at the clock his flurries lasted about 20 seconds, the rest of the round miranda is stalking and throwing and moving forward.

Just wanted to add that the fight is being overhyped too. Nothing too spectacular in this one other than Abraham's bravery.
Yes, this fight was not that good. I suppose I already knew what was going to happen before I watched it, so that takes a lot out of it. It was definitely not a good action fight.
The fight should have been stopped, for Abraham's health, in the 5th round. After that, It was basically 7 rounds of a guy who couldn't finish an opponent that was there to be finished. Miranda not only couldn't finish, but he should have been able to win unimpressively on the cards, but he was too undisciplined to do that either.

i agree with this point especially because miranda had a very good chance of beatin him after his jaw broke but didnt. im not tyrin to take anythin away from abraham as he did show brilliant heart
Who showed more class after all?
- Arthur Abraham.
Who had the cooler ringwalk?
- Don't care about that type of stuff.
Who won the majority of the first four rounds?
- 1st 10-10, 2nd/3rd 10-9 Miranda, 4th 10-9 Abraham
Was the headbutt intentional?
- No doubt about it.
Did the headbutt cause the broken jaw?
- No. The injury occured in the fourth round, not in the fifth.
Should the bout have been stopped in the fifth round?
- Yes it should. The fact that it didn't says A LOT about what occurs in Germany, fight wise.
Who should have been declared the winner then?
- Edison Miranda.
So, was Miranda robbed?
- Yes. He should have had a TKO at this point.
Is Arthur one of the bravest boxers out there?
- He showed tremendous heart.
Who won most of the rounds?
- Miranda wins 9 or 10 rounds, 1 even, 1 or 2 for Abraham. working for 20 seconds of a round and running for 2:40 doesn't win you rounds.
Were the deductions of five ponts in total fair?
- In my opinion, a fighter should be disqualified after 3 point deductions. Which means that Miranda should have been disqualified at some point in the fight.
Should there be a rematch?
- Yes, but NOT in Germany!
Additional thoughts?
- The fight was a disgrace to boxing. Miranda's behaviour was unforgivable. The incompetence of the referee, judges, doctor and supervisor was unforgivable.
I'm left with 3 different views of who should have won the fight:
1. Miranda by TKO, since Abraham should have been stopped in the 5th.
2. Abraham by DQ, since Miranda fouled so many times. No way can you get FIVE points deducted, and be allowed to finish the fight.
3. Miranda on points, since Abraham didn't do any fighting for 90% of the fight. He held on for dear life which is commendable in his situation, but that doesn't win a fight.
All in all, they need to go at it again in a place where the people sorrounding the fight won't allow it to turn into such a ridiculous mess.
Edit: I just want to point out that I rooted for Abraham in this fight.
I agree with every single point you make.
very accurate assesment of the fight night and what has been going around in the threads since yesterday.
except cooler walk: KING ARTHUR :D
The bout could have/should have been stopped, BUT IT DIDNT, and this is where we seperated MEN from the boys. Miranda couldnt stop a fighter with a broken jaw, and then Abraham showed more heart and determination to finish out the fight and get the Unanimous Decision VICTORY.
