Maybe saying abit too much asking this. As far as the more elite of elite boxers go that could handle any situation infront of them. Let's hear it! :boxing:
Sugar Ray Robinson. There was no limit to the way he could beat you. He outboxed boxers, outpunched punchers, the man could do it all. He was a monstrous puncher, threw in combination, was tough as all get out, could use his feet, and was just dangerous from close and distance.
Ray Leonard was another guy. In the Benitez fight, he went feint for feint with one of the greatest technical fighters of all time. Then against Hearns, he was getting taken apart from distance trying to box, and then he went into slug mode and stopped him. Complete 180 and he boxed and flurried his way to a razor thin win over Hagler. I hate him as a fighter, but I got mad respect for him. Same thing with Mayweather.
Not alot of people give him credit, but Thomas Hearns could do alot of stuff also. Not only was he a devastating puncher, but he could box also. We saw his versatility against Leonard, as he switched his shit up mad quick when he had to. When he broke his hand against Benitez, he then went into the stick and jab that was brilliant for him. Of course, just ask Pepino Cuevas. The man can crack!
Not in any particular order and just among the very many:
Sugar Ray Robinson
Joe Louis
Ezzard Charles
Archie Moore
Jack Johnson
Eder Jofre
Wilfred Benitez
Salvador Sanchez
Azumah Nelson
Sam Langford (perhaps the greatest fighter NEVER TO WIN A WORLD CROWN)
Bob Fitzsimmons
Ricardo Lopez may be the most well rounded fighter I have ever seen...especially at lower weights. Great technique, speed, power, effective defense. The man was a little juggernaut.
Sugar Ray Leonard, the man went toe to toe with Duran, and almost beated them, then outboxed the living fuck out of him......
wht does everyone say the went toe to toe, they didnt it was a boxing match it is made out to be gatti ward when it wasnt, there where very few clean punches landed because of both fighters defence,
by the way duran leanord 2 was over b4 the bell rang learn the facts

but ray is a good canidate though, though i think he was a better fighter then boxer
Do you think if he fought Duran he would win?
I always wondered what others opinion on this would be
:notworthy OMG Duran vs JCC:hail:
What a fucking fight!
Duran SD15
Julio Cesar Chavez, 25 year career, he could slug, box, counter punch and fight on the front foot.
108 wins with only 6 losses, for me the most multi-dimentional fighter ever to live!
Whitaker and Taylor exposed him kinda as one dimensional, not taking anything away from him coz hes in my top 5 all time...
Also I know he fought ODLH when Chavez was "past it" but I think prime for prime ODLH wins 8 outta 10!:boxing:
I agree with Micky Hatton. Chavez just took whatever was infront of him!

He was also knocked out twice by Oscar and Kostya, what are you thoughts on that: if Chavez was in his "prime", would the outcome be the same?
